Seniors:  If you haven’t ordered a cap & gown, please call Jostens at 217-483-8989.  Please note these are not ordered through WHS registration.  Prices go up the longer you wait to order.

 

Anyone interested in participating in track and field, there will be a short informational meeting on Tuesday, December 18th right after school in the cafeteria.  If you cannot attend, please see Coach Patrick.

 

LLCC Foundation scholarship application is now open through March 1stOnly one general, online application needs to be completed to be automatically considered for scholarships for the entire academic year. Information and the online application are available at www.llccfoundation.org/scholarships.

 

PSAT/NMSQT Score Release: Student scores from the PSAT/NMSQT will be available online to students December 10–12. They will need to check their collegeboard accounts to access their scores. 

 

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) meets every Friday morning at 7:26am in Mr. O'Connor's room. Join us for food, fun, and a Bible study. Anyone is welcome

WILLIAMSVILLE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION – QUARTER AUCTIONS

The Williamsville Community Foundation is looking for volunteers to assist with their Quarter Auctions to benefit different charities.  They need help on the second Thursday of every month from 5:30-8:30 p.m. to work concessions during the auctions and on the Wednesday before the auctions from 5:00-6:00 p.m. to set up chairs and tables.  The Quarter Auctions will take place at the Williamsville Community Center.

   

WILLIAMSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL — CLEAN-UP FOR BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAMES

The custodians at Williamsville High School are looking for assistance cleaning out the bleachers after the home boys’ basketball games on Friday, December 14; Tuesday, January 15; Tuesday, January 22; Saturday, February 2; Friday, February 8; and Friday, February 15.  They are looking for a couple of volunteers per game, and while you will probably be needed for less than an hour, you will earn an hour of community service.

 

ABRAHAM LINCOLN PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY AND MUSEUM – HISTORY DETECTIVE

The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield is looking for volunteers to assist as a History Detective.  Volunteers will be needed to facilitate a children’s scavenger hunt in the museum during Winter Break in December and Summer Break in June and July.  Volunteers will need to work a four-hour shift, either from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., on any day of their choice during those timeframes.

 

Volunteers Needed – See Mrs. Chladny for More Details - The Mini O'Beirne Crisis Nursery invites all children to shop at the annual Children's Holiday Store located at 1919 W. Monroe in Fairhills Mall in Springfield.  Children, with the help of a volunteer can shop for family, friends, teachers, and even their pets.  All items are $1 - $15 in price.  The store is open every day December 1 through December 22.  Times are Mon-Fri 4-8pm, Sat 10am-5:30pm, and Sun noon-5pm.   It's a fun shopping experience for the children and all proceeds benefit the Crisis Nursery where families can find a safe place to turn when a crisis occurs.  For additional information contact the Nursery at 525-6800 or visit our website at www.miniobeirne.org.

Early Bird Exam

Exams will start promptly at 9:07 all three days.  Students only need to be present for their semester exams.  If you leave between exams you MUST sign out in the office before leaving.  You should arrive promptly to class for your next exam.  You will not be granted extra time if you arrive late.  Students that do not drive should arrange rides with parents, grandparents, etc. if they want to leave between exams.  If you do not have a ride you should report to your next exam or resource even if opting out of the exam.

 

**Students are not allowed to leave for lunch only…it is not an open campus in regard to lunch.**

 

At no time during the day are students allowed to go to the junior high or the parking lot.  The only exception is if a student if picking up a sibling.  If you leave after an exam you must leave campus.  You will not be allowed to stay in the hallways, library, etc.  

 

All students:  You must stay in class until your last exam is over; you cannot leave in the middle of an exam period on Days 1 and 2.  On day 3 you may exit the building quietly as soon as you finish your last exam.  If you do not have a ride or you ride the bus you must stay in class until the bell rings. 

 

A study period may be utilized on Days 1, 2, and 3.  You may visit the teacher of your choice during the study period. 

 

Students that do not have a ride or need to ride the bus should report to the gym at 2:15 on Days 1 and 2.  You will not be allowed to stay in the hallways, library, etc.
