Teresa Benner, along with her husband Steve, have lived in the Williamsville School District for over 23 years. They raised four children, all graduates of WCUSD. Teresa is the Sr. Manager over the Enterprise National Account Service Center, at Health Care Service Corp, in Springfield IL. She has been with HCSC over 30 years and currently oversees the daily customer service operations for nearly 1 million members nationwide. There are 150 employees working in her department, servicing many large National Account clients. Teresa joined the board in 2011 and she is honored to hold that position.
Kurt and his wife Jennifer have been residents of Sherman for nearly 15 years. His three children Cydne 17, Kaden 12, and Madox 8 all attend school in the Williamsville School District. Kurt graduated from nearby Athens High School in 1989 and went on to St. Louis College of Pharmacy where he graduated in 1995 with his Doctorate in Pharmacology. He has worked for Walgreens for over 15 years and currently manages the local Walgreens Pharmacy in Sherman. Kurt serves on the Sherman Village Zoning Board. He is a member of the Sherman Area Chamber of Commerce through his affiliation with Walgreens and he was one of the original founding Board Members.
Pam and her husband Vel have been residents of the Sherman community for nearly 20 years. Children, Taylor, 21 and Ben, 18 are both graduates of the Williamsville School District. Besides her children’s connection to the school district keeping Pam involved in education, she is a former teacher and coach for several central Illinois communities.
After leaving public education, Pam continued her passion for education and learning by receiving her Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Illinois – Champaign and taking on training and development roles in several local and national businesses. She has served on several area volunteer committees and boards including the Girl Scouts, Land of Lincoln Council, Sherman Strategic Planning and Vision Council. WHS Sports Boosters and The United Way of Central Illinois.
Tom Ray and his wife Missy, live in Sherman and are the parents of Peyton, Kendall, and Delaney. Tom is a graduate of Lincoln Land Community College and the University of Nevada-Las Vegas where he received degrees in business management and marketing. Tom has been a financial advisor for over 23 years and is currently a Vice President - Investments with Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC.
I have lived in WCUSD 15 since 1996. I am employed at Caterpillar in East Peoria as a Programmer / Analyst . I work in the supply chain as an Electronic Data Analyst III. Prior to my employment with Caterpillar, I worked for 15 years as a contract programmer / analyst. I was on contract at places such as State Farm Ins., Country Companies Ins., Horace Mann Ins., State of ILL. Dept of Health, Secretary of State and Legislative Information Systems. I previously was a Paramedic and a State of Illinois Certified Fire Fighter II. I have served on various community boards such as Economic Development, Emergency Squad, Illinois Wings, and various boards at Sherman United Methodist Church. I am currently involved in the creation of a Sherman Chamber of Commerce. I am the proud father of Matthew (Hannah) of Portland Or., Kathryn WHS Class of 2013, Sarah WHS Class of 2015, Jack WHS Class of 2018. My wife Mary and I were married in 2007.
Matt and his wife Shelly, live in Sherman with their two children Paige and Jake who attend school in the District. He is currently serving his second term on the WCUSD #15 School Board.
Matt is a Williamsville High School class of 1989 graduate. From there he went on to Western Illinois University where he received his BS.
After graduating, Matt went to work for the State of Illinois (Capital Development Board) where he was a construction manager. In 1998, Matt and Shelly moved to Dallas where Matt began his career in the financial services industry, working with Citigroup, selling investments, insurance and mortgage products. In 2006 they moved back to Sherman with their two children to get closer to family and raise their children where they grew up.
Matt is now the VP of Retail Sales / Commercial Lender for Illini Bank.
