A weekly in-depth look at both Bee Bee and Bullet Athletics with Athletic Director Adam Eucker and former Lady Bullets Basketball Coach Jon Hampton.
Last Saturday marked the end of another historic cross-country season at the IHSA state meet in Peoria. A program or team’s success is not achieved overnight, and most outsiders do not get to see the process that takes place before this occurs. This process will become clearer after you listen to this week’s episode, as seniors Cara Buckley and Grace Gudwien not only take us through the 2017 cross country campaign, but their journey over their last four years as members of the WCUSD Cross Country program. They talk not only about what it takes to be a successful cross-country runner and student-athlete, but the legacy their class has left on the program, and what success means to them. This is another episode that will make you proud to say, “It’s Always Better to be a Bullet!”
