Accomplishments and Successes

Ø The Math curriculum has been updated.

Ø A district-wide writing program has been developed.

Ø District-wide departmental meetings have provided the opportunity to eliminate any gaps in the core curricular areas.

Ø Our professional development programs have been designed to be more  effective in helping teachers deal with all students.

Goals for 2002 – 2003

Ø Implement the portfolio-based writing program.

Ø Investigate the use of technology across the curriculum, focusing on better ways to enhance learning in all core areas.

Ø Continue to seek out cross-curricular activities in all learning areas that will enhance student achievement on the PSAE.

Ø Examine the needs of “non-core” students, especially focusing on Math skills for the ACT and Work Keys test.
