Williamsville High School doors will open at 7:50am.  Due to COVID-19 certification requirements we are unable to have the building open before that time.

 

Face Coverings: Face coverings will be required for all students, staff and visitors inside the school buildings and on school busses at all times.

Volunteer Opportunities:

 

If any student is interested in signing up for any of the community service activities below or any new ones as they come out and are not yet a member of the National Honor Society, please sign-up for the "Students Interested in NHS and Community Service - 2020-2021" Google Classroom using the Class Code "ofjll27".  Once you join the Google Classroom, there will be a Google Form to complete to sign-up this year.

 

Williamsville Garden Club – Weeding   The Williamsville Garden Club is looking for volunteers to assist with weeding the community flowerbeds and displays.  Volunteers will be needed on Tuesday nights from 6:30-7:30 p.m. through the end of September.  If it is raining, the weeding will take place on Thursday night that week from 6:30-7:30 p.m.  Volunteers will meet outside the old train car where the old library and museum used to be.

 

Williamsville Garden Club – Cleaning and Organizing the Boxcar - The Williamsville Garden Club is looking for volunteers to assist with cleaning and organizing the boxcar they use for storage.  Volunteers will be needed on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at 4:30 p.m. and should be needed for only an hour or two.  Volunteers will meet outside the old boxcar where the old library and museum used to be.

 

Williamsville C.U.S.D. #15 – Food Service Assistance - The Williamsville C.U.S.D. #15 is looking for volunteers each Monday to assist with their food service.  Volunteers will be needed from 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Sherman Elementary School.  Volunteers will be able to sign-up to help in 1-hour increments, and they may sign-up for multiple 1-hour increments for each Monday.  Volunteers will be helping bag meals for distribution to students.  Since the volunteers will be working with food production, all hair needs to be restrained. If possible, long hair should be tied back, and everyone MUST wear a hat.  NO STUDENT SHOULD BE MISSING ANY REQUIRED ATTENDANCE FOR THEIR CLASSES, EITHER IN PERSON OR ONLINE, TO COMPLETE THIS COMMUNITY SERVICE.

 

Yard Work for a Sherman Resident - A group of Sherman residents is trying to recruit some volunteers to assist an elderly Sherman man complete some general yard work (mulching, raking leaves, cleaning gutters, trimming bushes, etc.) that he is unable to do himself.  Volunteers will be needed on Saturday, October 10, starting at 9:30 a.m. and probably not lasting more than a couple of hours.  If volunteers have their own rakes, clippers, weed eaters, etc. that they could bring to help with the cause, it would be greatly appreciated.

 

Spooky Trails – YMCA – October 24 – Up to 10 hours available from noon to 10pm.  A minimum of 2 hours requested for assistance.  Dinner provided for those who stay 4-10pm.  sbrewer@springfieldymca.org if you are interested in volunteering
