Congratulations to the Youth & Government students on a very successful 71st State Assembly, including 3 bills passed and signed and many awards and leadership positions. Trevor Shue, our delegation president, was voted Most Effective Legislator, Avery Allen served on the statewide Steering Committee, Audrey Fuiten served as Committee Chair, Reganne Eyman served as Clerk of the House, Jack Stott served at Sergeant-At-Arms of the Senate, Noel Albers and Emily Pounder served as Bill Flow Clerks, and Ethan Timm served as a Personal Aide to the Youth Governor and received a special Monarch Award, given by the major officers to only a few delegates. You represented WHS with true Bullet Pride!
SAT Testing – March 25 – Juniors will report to Williamsville Christian Church at 8:00am. Reminder that seniors do not have classes at WHS on Wednesday, March 25, due to SAT School Day testing.
March 25 – LTech - Seniors who attend LTEC are required to attend LTEC classes but will be dismissed from school when returning from Lincoln.

LIFEGUARD TRAINING COURSE: PORTA Pool in Petersburg will conduct the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Training Course March 26 - 29. Trainees must be 15 years old by March 29 and must pass the pre-course swim. Classes will be 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, 3/26; 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. on Friday, 3/27; 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, 3/28; and 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, 3/29. WILLIAMSVILLE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION – QUARTER AUCTIONS
The Williamsville Community Foundation is looking for volunteers to assist with their Quarter Auctions to benefit different charities. They need help on the second Thursday of every month from 5:15-8:15 p.m. to work concessions during the auctions and on the Wednesday before the auctions from 5:00-6:00 p.m. to set up chairs and tables. The Quarter Auctions will take place at the Williamsville Community Center.
ANIMAL PROTECTIVE LEAGUE - APL is always looking for volunteers. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Volunteer opportunities include: dog walking, cleaning, dog & cat socialization, office work, adoption events and much more! CAPITOL RADIO GROUP — EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA AT KNIGHTS ACTION PARK - The Capitol Radio Group is hosting their Easter Eggstravaganza at Knights Action Park. They need volunteers on to stuff the eggs and do other work in preparation for the event, and the stuffing of the Easter eggs will take place at their offices of the Capitol Radio Group, 3501 E. Sangamon Ave., Springfield, IL.
BRUNO EVENT TEAM — LINCOLN LAND CHAMPIONSHIP AT PANTHER CREEK COUNTRY CLUB - The Bruno Event Team is managing the Lincoln Land Championship at Panther Creek Country Club. They are looking for junior volunteers from local high schools to help with the tournament July 13-19, 2020.
WILLIAMSVILLE’S HEALTHY KIDS’ RUNNING SERIES - Williamsville’s Healthy Kids’ Running Series is looking for volunteers leading stretches, directing runners along the courses, helping keep kids in order at the finish line, etc. The races take place at the Williamsville Park on Sunday afternoons March 29, April 5, April 19, April 26, and May 3, 2020. Volunteers would need to be at the park from about 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
WILLIAMSVILLE C.U.S.D. #15 — DISTRICT REFERENDUM -Williamsville C.U.S.D. #15 is looking for volunteers to help canvassing the neighborhoods of Williamsville and Sherman to help promote the referendum and to pass out information for the referendum at entrances and ticket tables for various upcoming district activities. The volunteers for the canvassing of neighborhoods will be needed from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14.
SHERMAN AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE — SHERMAN EASTER EGG HUNT The Sherman Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Sherman Easter Egg Hunt at Sherman Elementary School on Saturday, April 11, 2020, from 9:00-11:30 a.m. They are looking for volunteers to help set up, supervise the organized activities, and clean up after the event.
