Wednesday, February 19: 

 

Lunch:  Asian chicken bowl OR Beef dippers & teriyaki sauce, honey wheat roll, brown rice pilaf, buttered broccoli, pineapple chunks, fortune cookie, choice of milk

 

Winter Formal tickets will be on sale during both lunch shifts this Wednesday through Friday for $5 each.  The price at the door will be $20 each so make sure to buy them in advance.  Also, if you are planning on bringing a date from another school you must have a guest approval form turned in before you may buy them a ticket. 

 

Thursday, February 20: 

 

Lunch:  Taco quesadillas OR Toasted cheese sandwich, homemade chili, oyster crackers, baby carrots, diced peaches, grape juice cup, choice of milk

Mandatory WHS Spring Parent/Athlete Meeting @ WHS Main Gym - This includes boys’ track, girls’ track, girls’ soccer, baseball, and softball After the db20200219 session is finished in the gym, each sport will separate and conduct sport specific meetings. Important information for both open gyms, as well as when tryouts and practices will take place will be covered at this time.  Bring Health Insurance Card & Updated Physical if necessary

Congratulations Grant Ripperda – January Student of the Month!

Congratulations Mr. Martens – January Teacher of the Month!

College Now Informational Meeting for 2020-2021 juniors and/or seniors and their families will be held at Riverton High School in their auditorium on February 25th beginning at 5:30 pm.  An informational flyer will be sent through TeacherEase to students and parents. 

Mandatory Parent-Athlete Meeting for Spring Sports - February 20, 2020, The Williamsville High School Athletic Department will be hosting its mandatory parent/athlete night for all students who will be or are interested in participating in a sport for the upcoming spring season. This includes boys’ track, girls’ track, girls’ soccer, baseball, and softball. The meeting will take place on Thursday, February 20, 2020, starting at 6:00 pm in db20200219 gym at Williamsville High School. After the db20200219 session is finished in the gym, each sport will separate and conduct sport specific meetings. Important information for both open gyms, as well as when tryouts and practices will take place will be covered at this time. It is highly recommended that you bring your health insurance card with you, as mandatory insurance waivers and IHSA paperwork will also be completed at this meeting. As a reminder, student-athletes will need updated physicals in order to participate in their desired sport. Head coaches for each individual sport will also be collecting updated physicals if you have them. If you have any additional questions, you can either contact the head coach of each sport or Athletic Director Adam Eucker.

On February 24th – 28th, SAVE Club is sponsoring the Teens for Jeans Drive and would encourage everyone to bring in old jeans to their 4th hour class.  The class that brings the most donations wins a pizza party courtesy of SAVE Club.

WILLIAMSVILLE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION – QUARTER AUCTIONS

The Williamsville Community Foundation is looking for volunteers to assist with their Quarter Auctions to benefit different charities.  They need help on the second Thursday of every month from 5:15-8:15 p.m. to work concessions during the auctions and on the Wednesday before the auctions from 5:00-6:00 p.m. to set up chairs and tables.  The Quarter Auctions will take place at the Williamsville Community Center. 

 

WILLIAMSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL — CLEAN-UP FOR BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAMES - The custodians at Williamsville High School are looking for assistance cleaning out the bleachers after the home boys’ basketball game on Tuesday, February 18. 

 

ANIMAL PROTECTIVE LEAGUE - APL is always looking for volunteers. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Volunteer opportunities include: dog walking, cleaning, dog & cat socialization, office work, adoption events and much more!   Sign up by emailing volunteer@apl-shelter.org or by calling Mary at 544-7387 x227. New volunteers must attend a "new volunteer orientation." 

 

SPRINGFIELD AREA HOME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION —

HOME EXPO SHOW - The Springfield Area Homebuilding Association is hosting their Home Expo Show at the Bank of Springfield Center.  They need volunteers to help take tickets on Friday, February 21, 2020, from 5:00-8:00 p.m.; Saturday, February 22, 2020, from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., 12:00-3:00 p.m., and 3:00-6:00 p.m.; and Sunday, February 23, 2020, from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and 1:00-4:00 p.m.  To sign-up to volunteer visit the homepage of the Springfield-Area Homebuilding Association at www.builderevents.com, click on the “Home” tab, scroll down and click on the button “Choose a Spot on Sign-Up.”  The Bank of Springfield Center is located at 1 Convention Center Plaza, Springfield, IL 62701. 

 

CAPITOL RADIO GROUP — EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA AT KNIGHTS ACTION PARK - The Capitol Radio Group is hosting their Easter Eggstravaganza at Knights Action Park.  They need volunteers on to stuff the eggs and do other work in preparation for the event, and the stuffing of the Easter eggs will take place at their offices of the Capitol Radio Group, 3501 E. Sangamon Ave., Springfield, IL. 

 

BRUNO EVENT TEAM — LINCOLN LAND CHAMPIONSHIP AT PANTHER CREEK COUNTRY CLUB - The Bruno Event Team is managing the Lincoln Land Championship at Panther Creek Country Club.  They are looking for junior volunteers from local high schools to help with the tournament July 13-19, 2020. 

 

WILLIAMSVILLE’S HEALTHY KIDS’ RUNNING SERIES - Williamsville’s Healthy Kids’ Running Series is looking for volunteers leading stretches, directing runners along the courses, helping keep kids in order at the finish line, etc.  The races take place at the Williamsville Park on Sunday afternoons March 29, April 5, April 19, April 26, and May 3, 2020.  Volunteers would need to be at the park from about 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. 

 

WILLIAMSVILLE C.U.S.D. #15 — DISTRICT REFERENDUM -Williamsville C.U.S.D. #15 is looking for volunteers to help canvassing the neighborhoods of Williamsville and Sherman to help promote the referendum and to pass out information for the referendum at entrances and ticket tables for various upcoming district activities.  The volunteers for the canvassing of neighborhoods will be needed from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for the following Saturdays:  February 22, February 29, March 7, and March 14.  The district activities that volunteers will be needed at entrances and ticket tables include:  WHS Boys’ Basketball Game, Tuesday, February 18, at the WHS gymnasium from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.; WHS Spring Sports Parent Meeting, Thursday, February 20, at the WHS gymnasium from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.; WHS Band Concert, Thursday, February 27, at the District Fine Arts Center from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m.; WJHS Band Concert, Tuesday, March 3, at the District Fine Arts Center from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m.; and the SES 1st Grade Concert, Thursday, March 5, at the District Fine Arts Center from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m.
