Student “dance only” tickets for the Jazz Dinner on May 18th will be available to purchase during both lunch shifts Monday and Wednesday. They are $5 and include a cupcake. Dance only tickets will not be admitted until 6:30 pm after dinner is served.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) meets every Friday morning at 7:26am in Mr. O'Connor's room. Join us for food, fun, and a Bible study. Anyone is welcome

 

On May 15, 7:00 pm a dedication ceremony for Adam Clack will be held at the Sherman Village Park.  A bench and tree will be placed here in his memory. The dedication will also include music, a few speeches, and a lantern launch.

Nelson Resource Center is offering a "pay what you can" option for ACT preparation: Summer ACT Test Prep--Students or parents may go to nelsonresourcecenter.org to register. Flyers are available in the guidance office

 

Nelson Resource Center Summer ACT Bootcamp Intensive Study: program for students who previously took the ACT and scored a composite of at least 25. Register by May 1 and save $100.  More details at nelsonresourcecenter.org. Cost is $400.

WILLIAMSVILLE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION – QUARTER AUCTIONS

The Williamsville Community Foundation is looking for volunteers to assist with their Quarter Auctions to benefit different charities.  They need help on the second Thursday of every month from 5:30-8:30 p.m. to work concessions during the auctions and on the Wednesday before the auctions from 5:00-6:00 p.m. to set up chairs and tables.  The Quarter Auctions will take place at the Williamsville Community Center.

   

LINCOLN LAND DOWN SYNDROME SOCIETY –

CHILD CARE AT MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS

Volunteers are being sought by the Lincoln Land Down Syndrome Society to assist with childcare during membership meetings.  Upcoming meeting dates are Thursday, June 13, 2019 and Thursday, July 11, 2019.  Meetings are held at Erin’s Pavilion at Edwin Watts Southwind Park.  Volunteers would need to arrive by 5:45 p.m. and stay until approximately 7:30 p.m.  Four volunteers are needed for each meeting.

  

ABRAHAM LINCOLN PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY AND MUSEUM – HISTORY DETECTIVE

The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield is looking for volunteers to assist as a History Detective.  Volunteers will be needed to facilitate a children’s scavenger hunt in the museum during summer Break in June and July.  Volunteers will need to work a four-hour shift, either from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., on any day of their choice during those timeframes.

 

VILLAGE OF WILLIAMSVILLE — MEMORIAL DAY ACTIVITY

The Village of Williamsville is looking for volunteers to help put flags on the graves of veterans on Saturday, May 25, 2019.  They are looking for four volunteers.  Volunteers will meet at McDonald’s at 8:00 a.m. and will be needed for about three (3) hours.

Exams will start promptly at 9:07 on Day 1 and 2 of exams and at 8:26 on Day 3.  Students only need to be present for their semester exams.  If you leave between exams you MUST sign out in the office before leaving.  You should arrive promptly to class for your next exam.  You will not be granted extra time if you arrive late.  Students that do not drive should arrange rides with parents, grandparents, etc. if they want to leave between exams.  If you do not have a ride you should report to your next exam or resource even if opting out of the exam.

 

**Students are not allowed to leave for lunch only…it is not an open campus in regard to lunch.**

 

At no time during the day are students allowed to go to the junior high or the parking lot.  The only exception is if a student if picking up a sibling.  If you leave after an exam you must leave campus.  You will not be allowed to stay in the hallways, library, etc.  

 

All students:  You must stay in class until your last exam is over; you cannot leave in the middle of an exam period on Days 1 and 2.  On day 3 you may exit the building quietly as soon as you finish your last exam.  If you do not have a ride or you ride the bus you must stay in class until the bell rings. 

 

A study period may be utilized on Days 1 and 2 during the Early Bird Exam period.  You may visit the teacher of your choice during the study period. 

 

Students that do not have a ride or need to ride the bus after school should report to the gym at 2:15 on Days 1 and 2.  You will not be allowed to stay in the hallways, library, etc.
