National College Decision Day is May 1st! Reminder to seniors to sport gear of your future schools/vocational training/military--guidance department will be taking pictures during government classes for seniors who want to participate. You do not have to be wearing college/military gear to have a picture taken.
· Voting for Prom Court will take place in Government classes on Wednesday, April 24.
· Prom is May 4, 2019 from 8-11 p.m. It is held at the Illinois Building on the Illinois State Fairgrounds.
· Promenade will begin at 4:30pm in the WHS gym. Doors will open at 3:30pm. Coronation will take place at the end of promenade.

· Prom tickets will be on sale Monday, April 29 through Thursday May 2 at lunch.
· Tickets are $25 per person
· Tickets can be purchased on Friday, May 3, the price of the ticket will be $50 and can purchased in the office.
· All class dues must be paid to date before purchasing a ticket.
· No tickets will be sold at the door the evening of prom
· Non-WHS guests must have a guest approval form on file with Mrs. Walsh before they and their date's ticket can be purchased.

WILLIAMSVILLE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION – QUARTER AUCTIONS
The Williamsville Community Foundation is looking for volunteers to assist with their Quarter Auctions to benefit different charities. They need help on the second Thursday of every month from 5:30-8:30 p.m. to work concessions during the auctions and on the Wednesday before the auctions from 5:00-6:00 p.m. to set up chairs and tables. The Quarter Auctions will take place at the Williamsville Community Center.
LINCOLN LAND DOWN SYNDROME SOCIETY – CHILD CARE AT MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS
Volunteers are being sought by the Lincoln Land Down Syndrome Society to assist with childcare during membership meetings. Upcoming meeting dates are Thursday, April 18, 2019; Thursday, June 13, 2019; and Thursday, July 11, 2019. Meetings are held at Erin’s Pavilion at Edwin Watts Southwind Park. Volunteers would need to arrive by 5:45 p.m. and stay until approximately 7:30 p.m. Four volunteers are needed for each meeting.
ABRAHAM LINCOLN PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY AND MUSEUM – HISTORY DETECTIVE
The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield is looking for volunteers to assist as a History Detective. Volunteers will be needed to facilitate a children’s scavenger hunt in the museum during Winter Break in December and Summer Break in June and July. Volunteers will need to work a four-hour shift, either from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., on any day of their choice during those timeframes.
Williamsville’s Healthy Kids’ Running Series is looking for volunteers leading stretches, directing runners along the courses, helping keep kids in order at the finish line, etc. The races take place at the Williamsville Park on Sunday afternoons April 14, 28, and May 5. Volunteers would need to be at the park from about 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Sherman Elementary School is hosting a spring Scholastic Book Fair, and they need volunteers for various functions from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2019.
VILLAGE OF WILLIAMSVILLE — MEMORIAL DAY ACTIVITY
The Village of Williamsville is looking for volunteers to help put flags on the graves of veterans on Saturday, May 25, 2019. They are looking for four volunteers. Volunteers will meet at McDonald’s at 8:00 a.m. and will be needed for about three (3) hours.
