Seniors: Applications for the Orlene Drobish Moore scholarship (open only to WHS seniors) are available in the counseling office. Complete applications must be returned to the Guidance office on or before March 23rd.
Upcoming SAT Prep Class - March 28th, Wednesday 5pm-8pm: English
Plato & Flora S. McCourtney Foundation Scholarship applications are available-preference is given to students seeking a technical or scientific education. Applicants must be in the top 10% of their class to apply. Deadline to apply is April 15. The scholarship is renewable up to four years.
Jostens Graduation Order Delivery - Final payment must be paid to receive cap & gown. Credit and debit payments can be accepted at the Jostens’ office by calling 217-483-8989. The WHS Office is able to accept cash only payments. Orders have been left in the WHS Office.
WHS Sports Booster Outstanding Sportsmanship/Teammate Award Scholarship applications are available on the Counseling Office webpage or by talking to one or your counselors. Please see eligibility requirements. One male and one female student-athlete will each be awarded a one-time $500 scholarship and a plaque. Deadline to apply is March 28, 2018. No late applications will be accepted.

Williamsville Community Foundation — Quarter Auctions – For anyone needing community service hours, the Williamsville Community Foundation is looking for volunteers to assist with their Quarter Auctions to benefit different charities. They need help on the second Wednesday of every month from 5:00-6:00 p.m. to set up chairs at the Williamsville Community Center, and then they will need help on the second Thursday of every month from 5:30-8:30 p.m. to work concessions
Williamsville’s Healthy Kids’ Running Series – Spring Series - the Williamsville’s Healthy Kids’ Running Series is looking for volunteers. They are looking for volunteers to help in leading stretches, directing runners along the courses, helping keep kids in order at the finish line, etc. The races take place at the Williamsville Park on Sunday afternoons from April 8 to May 6. Volunteers would need to be at the park from about 3:30-5:30 p.m. They are also in need of a few volunteers to help with the packet pickup for the series on Friday, April 6 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. and on Saturday, April 7, from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Please see Mr. Martens if you are interested or have any other questions.
Williamsville Community Foundation — Easter Egg Hunt – Locations Changed to The Williamsville Christian Church …the Williamsville Community Foundation is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 24, 2018. They are looking for volunteers to help with refreshments, to organize the kids for the egg hunt, and to pass out toys. They also need one volunteer to wear the bunny costume and walk for a bit posing with kids for pictures. Volunteers will be needed from approximately noon until 2:00 pm. Lincoln Land Down Syndrome Society – Child Care at Membership Meetings - Volunteers are being sought by the Lincoln Land Down Syndrome Society to assist with child care during membership meetings. Upcoming meeting dates are Thursday, April 12, 2018; Thursday, May 10, 2018; and Thursday, July 12, 2018. Meetings are held at Erin’s Pavilion at Edwin Watts Southwind Park. Volunteers would need to arrive by 5:45 p.m. and stay until approximately 7:30 p.m. Four volunteers are needed for each meeting.
Sherman Area Chamber of Commerce — Sherman Easter Egg Hunt - the Sherman Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Sherman Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 31, 2018. They are looking for volunteers to help set up, to supervise the organized activities, and clean up after the event. The event will be held at Waldrop Park in Sherman. Volunteers will be needed from approximately 9:00 a.m. to noon. Please see Mr. Martens if you are interested or have any other questions.
