FCCLA/FFA Winter Formal at the Williamsville High School Gym from 8-11 pm. Tickets are $5 each and will be sold during lunch the week prior to the dance February 19th through the 22nd. Tickets will be $20 each at the door the night of the dance. If students are bringing dates from other schools, the Guest Approval form must be filled out and turned in prior to purchasing a ticket. Reminder to seniors: Menard Electric Scholarship Program is offering: One $1,000 scholarship to a 4-year college or university, One $500 scholarship to a 2-year community college and One $500 scholarship to an accredited technical school. Bullet Basketball senior guard, Casey Tuttle has advanced to the quarterfinals in the fan voting competition for the American Family Insurance 3-Point Championships. During voting in round one, Casey had the largest margin of victory across all eight matchups. He is now one step closer to earning the final spot in the 2018 American Family Insurance 3-Point Championship and compete in the finals at the NCAA Final Four in San Antonio, TX later this Spring. In order for Casey to advance to the finals in San Antonio, we still need your help! Lincoln Land Down Syndrome Society – Child Care at Membership Meetings -
Volunteers are being sought by the Lincoln Land Down Syndrome Society to assist with child care during membership meetings. The last upcoming meeting date is Thursday, March 8, 2018. Meetings are held at Erin’s Pavilion at Edwin Watts Southwind Park. Volunteers would need to arrive by 5:45 p.m. and stay until approximately 7:30 p.m. Four volunteers are needed for each meeting.
Williamsville Community Foundation — Quarter Auctions – For anyone needing community service hours, the Williamsville Community Foundation is looking for volunteers to assist with their Quarter Auctions to benefit different charities. They need help on the second Wednesday of every month from 5:00-6:00 p.m. to set up chairs at the Williamsville Community Center, and then they will need help on the second Thursday of every month from 5:30-8:30 p.m. to work concessions
Habitat for Humanity of Sangamon County — Scrapbooking Fundraiser - is looking for volunteers to help set-up and tear down for their Scrapbooking Fundraiser at the Sherman United Methodist Church. They need help setting up on Friday, February 23, 2018, from 6:00-9:00 p.m., and tearing down on Saturday, February 24, 2018, from 8:00-11:00 p.m. Please see Mr. Martens if you are interested or have any other questions.
Williamsville’s Healthy Kids’ Running Series – Spring Series- They are looking for volunteers to help leading stretches, directing runners along the courses, helping keep kids in order at the finish line, etc. The races take place at the Williamsville Park on Sunday afternoons from April 8 to May 6. Volunteers would need to be at the park from about 3:30-5:30 p.m. Please see Mr. Martens if you are interested or have any other questions.
