Sherman Elementary School Summer Bridges - Sherman Elementary School is looking for volunteers for the summer school program, called Summer Bridges.  The program begins on July 6th and will run every Tuesday and Thursday morning until July 27th.  The subjects that will be emphasized this summer are reading and mathematics.  A classroom teacher will be the facilitator, and they are seeking high school students to work in small groups with the materials the teacher provides.  The commitment would be about three hours in the morning from 8:00-11:00 a.m.  These hours would count as community service and will be considered an NHS activity for the 2017-2018 school year.  Students can commit themselves to all 7 sessions or sign-up on a day-by-day basis.
