Seniors – Many Scholarships Available on the Guidance Webpage


Congratulations to the WHS Scholastic Bowl team for winning their first ever Sectional Championship this past Saturday. The team advances to the Class A IHSA State Series on Friday, March 11th.


Congratulations to Mitch McCullar for making the IHSSBCA All-State Team for Scholastic Bowl. Mitch is one of 10 players across the state in that was voted to be part of the Class A All-State Team. 


FCCLA is in need of your help.  We are collecting gently used and new stuffed animals, lap blankets or other small items such as bubbles to help brighten the day of seniors in our community.  Bring these items into your fourth hour class March 20th through the 24th.  The class with the most items per student will earn a pizza party!


PORTA Pool will offer the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course April 11 - 15. Sessions on April 11 - 13 will be 5:30 - 9:00 p.m. and sessions on April 14 and 15 will be 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Cost of the certification course is $225.00 and includes CPR and First Aid certification as well as rescue training. Classes include both pool and classroom time. Participants must be 15 years old by April 15 and will be required to pass a pre-course swim test.
