Monday, November 14:


Lunch:  Mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce or Cheese ravioli in marinara sauce, garlic breadstick, sweetened sliced carrots, applesauce, ˝ pint of milk


Class Rings will be delivered November 14 – Jostens will be here to deliver class rings during lunch. 


Butter Braids will be delivered today. Please be sure to have someone here to pick up your Butter Braids immediately after school and put them in a freezer right away.


Tuesday, November 15:


Lunch:  Breaded chicken sandwich or Spicy chicken sandwich, sweet potato fries, warm cinnamon apples, pineapple chunks, ˝ pint of milk


Wednesday, November 16:


Lunch:  Taco quesadillas or Toasted cheese sandwich, chicken fajita soup, baby carrots, diced peaches, grape juice cup, ˝ pint of milk


Thursday, November 17:


Lunch:  Pasta with meat sauce or Italian meatball sandwich, crispy seasoned chick peas, fruit & rodb20161114e salad, cheese garlic croutons, mandarin oranges, ˝ pint of milk

Band Booster Meeting: Thursday, November 17th at 6:30 pm in the WHS band room. All band parents are encouraged to attend.

State Swim Meet @ Evanston - Caroline Gwaltney and Ashleigh Sinks will swim at the IHSA State Swim Meet– Good luck!


7:30pm - Girls Varsity Basketball @ Mattoon High School (Pana Thanksgiving Tournament @ Pana Junior High) – Bus leaves 5:15pm

Congratulations to our WHS swimmers Morgan Fleck, Gabby Gwaltney, Ashleigh Sinks, Mariah Campbell, Caroline Gwaltney, and Mackenzie Mendenhall for their 5th place finish at the IHSA Girls Swimming Sectionals in Urbana. The 200 medley relay team of Morgan, Caroline, Ashleigh, and Gabby received 3rd place medals and the 400 freestyle relay team of Caroline, Gabby, Morgan, and Ashleigh received 4th place medals.  Individual event medal winners included Morgan Fleck, Caroline Gwaltney, and Ashleigh Sinks.  Morgan was awarded a 5th place medal in the 500 freestyle.  Caroline was awarded a 2nd place medal in the 200 IM and a 1st place medal in the 500 freestyle.  Ashleigh was awarded a 1st place medal in the 100 butterfly and a 1st place medal in the 100 backstroke.  Both Caroline and Ashleigh will swim at the IHSA State Swim Meet in Evanston on Friday.  Good luck girls!


Community Service/Volunteer Info:

Sherman Holiday Wonderland:  Volunteers are being sought to assist with the Sherman Holiday Wonderland, which will be hosted at the Sherman Athletic Club on Sunday, November 20, 2016.  Proceeds from the Sherman Holiday Wonderland are put toward the Sharon Miller Scholarship.  Volunteers will be needed on Sunday, November 20, 2016, helping vendors unload from 7:00-9:00 a.m. and working the Welcome Table from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., and additional volunteers are needed to help set up for the event.  Set up will be either Saturday evening or early Sunday morning, but that time has not yet been confirmed.


Williamsville Community Foundation — Quarter Auctions:  For anyone needing community service hours, the Williamsville Community Foundation is looking for volunteers to assist with their Quarter Auctions to benefit different charities.  They need help on the second Wednesday of every month from 5:00-6:00 p.m. to set up chairs at the Williamsville Community Center, and then they will need help on the second Thursday of every month from 5:30-8:30 p.m. to work concessions during the auctions.  Please see Mr. Martens if you are interested or have any other questions.


183rd Fighter Wing – Children’s Christmas Party - For anyone needing community service hours, the Airman and Family Readiness Program of the 183rd Fighter Wing in Springfield are looking for volunteers to assist with their Annual Children’s Christmas Party.  Volunteers will be needed on Sunday, December 11, 2016, from 1:00-5:00 p.m. helping with the children’s craft tables.  The event will take place at base of the 183rd Fighter Wing at 3101 J. David Jones Parkway in Springfield.
