Sherman United Methodist Church Kids Place afterschool program is looking to update our sitter list for parents.  We have lots of parents looking for teens to watch their kids on the weekends, over breaks, and sometimes in the evenings.  Each year we start a new list that we print and hand out to parents.  If you would like your name included in this list, please email Carmen Arnberger, director at kpattendance@yahoo.com  with your name, grade, and telephone number.  Even if you gave us your name last year, please contact us again so we know you still want to be included on this list.

Red Ribbon Week is next week! We are kicking off our week with a speaker Monday morning. Brad Hurtig will deliver a message on overcoming obstacles. This year the S.A.V.E. Club is focusing on the message of choosing kindness. We want everyone to know that each person can make a difference in the lives of others. As part of the celebration we are having students show that we are stronger together.

This year's dress-up days are as follows:

Monday: Favorite Sports Team T-shirt/Jersey: "Let's team up against bullying!"

Wednesday: Wear Red to show support for the message: "Choose Kindness!"

Friday: Wear Purple and Gold for School Spirit Day: "Stronger together!"

S.A.V.E. Club will be handing out candy in the back gym on dress-up days for students that participate in the message.
