Class Dues are collected every year by class
sponsors in lieu of fundraisers. Money collected is
used to pay for the Junior Class Prom and the Senior Trip. It is not collected in registration and
should be paid directly to a class sponsor.
In order to buy a prom ticket, all class dues must be paid.

Williamsville Jazz Dinner, to be held 5
to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 30 at
the Williamsville Junior High gym. The April 30 festivities
feature live performances by the award-winning Williamsville High School Jazz
Band and Jr. High School Jazz Band, which will perform
with other surprise musical guests, TBA. In addition, a set of jump
blues/swing music will be performed by Juke House, a local band with ties to
the WHS music program. A full meal catered by Hickory River
Smokehouse is part of the package, with a vegetarian meal available
upon request. Doors open at 5

Join Us at the Sports Boosters Dinner - Come out and support the
Williamsville Sports Boosters as they help the Williamsville Athletic
Department continue to be one of the premier athletic departments in Illinois.
For the 2015-2016 school year alone, the sports
boosters are slated to give over $65,000 back to the athletic department.
The annual dinner dance will
once again be held at Northfield Center on March 5, 2016. One of
Springfield's favorite bands, Shenanigans, will be providing the entertainment!
Everyone attending will have
their name put in the barrel for the cash prizes. The Grand Prize will be
$2,000 and that winner will be drawn at the beginning of the night, but not
revealed until later in the evening. There will be a total of $3,250
given away in cash prizes!

The deadline to
apply for Lincoln Land Community College Foundation scholarships for the
2016-2017 academic year is quickly approaching. Students planning to attend LLCC next fall
should complete their scholarship applications by the deadline of Tuesday, March 1.
The Village of Williamsville is hosting a
village flag design competition for students in grades 6-12. Stop by the village hall or the village
website for a guideline sheet. Prizes
will be awarded for the top designs of $300 for 1st, $100 2nd,
$50 for 3rd. Show student ID
upon delivery of flag design entry.
Village Hall hours are 7:30-11:30am, 12:30-3:30pm. Winner will be announced on July 11.

Summer Camps: Open to current junior high, freshmen, and sophomore students. For more information,
contact the High School Guidance department.
Student Council and S.A.V.E. Club are sponsoring a recycled card drive
for the week of February 15th through February 24th. St. Jude’s Ranch
for Children recycles your used greeting cards and creates new holiday and
all-occasion greeting cards. Recycled cards are sold to support programs and
services for abused, neglected and homeless children, young adults and
families. Students are encouraged to
donate in their 6th hour classes.
Cards must be 5"X7" or larger, no writing
on the back or inside the front cover
Cards cannot be Hallmark, Disney, or American
The 6th hour class that collects the most cards per
student will be rewarded with a treat
All Sophomores will attend Career Day "Connect" on
Thursday, March 10th. Students should report to 2nd hour for attendance
and we will make an announcement to dismiss them to report to buses at
9:10am. We will return to WHS at approx 11:30am. The Guidance Dept will be
closed during this time
Cerebral Palsy – Life without Limits Day Camp - The United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) offers three different and fun-filled
camps for children ages 6 to 21 years old with the support of the United
Way. One camp is the Life without Limits Day Camp. Volunteers are
paired with a child who has a disability and accompany that child throughout
the day at the camp. As the campers renew friendships, participate in
craft activities, utilize the UCP computer lab and go into the community on
field trips, the volunteer is a constant companion for the camper. Field
trips will be educational and recreational, including visits to historical
sites, behind the scenes tours of their favorite stores, and bowling. A volunteer can sign up for just one week,
certain days, or all summer. The Life without Limits Camp meets at the
UCP center for students 6 to 21 years old who have any type of
disability. Camp runs Monday thru Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
starting on June 20 and ending on August 5. If you have any questions,

United Cerebral Palsy –
Overnight Camp - The United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) offers three
different and fun-filled camps for children ages 6 to 21 years old with the
support of the United Way. One camp is the Overnight Camp.
Volunteers are paired one-on-one with a camper with a disability. The
camp is a unique social opportunity for campers and attendees to enjoy crafts,
swimming, interacting with special guests, and meeting new friends. The
volunteer “Buddy” is a constant companion throughout camp for all
activities. This three-day, two-night camp is
the only one of its kind in central Illinois. The UCP Overnight Camp is
held in two sessions, one for campers 6-13 years old on Monday, June 6,
starting at 8:00 a.m., thru Wednesday, June 6, ending at 11:00 a.m. The
other camp is for campers 14-21 years old on Wednesday, June 6, starting at
6:00 p.m., thru Friday, June 8, ending at 4:00 p.m. Both camps will be held
at the Springfield Christian Assembly Campground. Volunteers can sign up
for one or both sessions of camp. If you

Group—Annual Easter Egg Extravaganza - For anyone needing community service hours,
the Capitol Radio Group is sponsoring their Annual Easter Egg Extravaganza at
Knights Action Park on Saturday, March 26, 2016, and they need some help
getting prepped for the event. Volunteers will be placing candy in the
plastic Easter eggs. Volunteers will be working at the offices of the
Capitol Radio Group doing the work in preparation for the Annual Easter Egg
Extravaganza. Teams can sign up to work any day Monday-Friday starting in
March and up to the date of the event from either 4:00-6:00 p.m. or 4:00-7:00

Annual KidsFest at Prairie Capital Convention Center
anyone needing community service hours, the Capitol Radio Group is sponsoring
the 9th Annual KidsFest at the Prairie
Capital Convention Center to benefit St. John’s Children’s Hospital and the
Children’s Miracle Network on Saturday, March 5, 2016. They need
volunteers to work the event from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. If anyone is

Foundation — Quarter Auctions - For
anyone needing community service hours, the Williamsville Community Foundation
is looking for volunteers to assist with their Quarter Auctions to benefit
different charities. They need help on the second Wednesday of every
month from 5:00-6:00 p.m. to set up chairs at the Williamsville Community
Center, and then they will need help on the second Thursday of every month from
6:30-9:30 p.m. to work concessions during the auctions. Please see Mr. Martens
if you are interested or have any other questions.
The Marine Corps is once again hosting a Summer
Leadership and Character Development Academy. This is a great opportunity
for students who are looking to build leadership skills and make a positive impact
in their communities. As well as, improve their list of achievements and
community service hours when applying to colleges and for scholarships.
Participants in the academy spend a week in Quantico, Virginia.
They privately tour the USMC museum, some Marine aviation units,
and visit the capitol/ White House, they complete a service project, hear
lectures and engage in activities designed to build character and refine their
leadership skills. There is no expectation that these students intend to join the
armed forces. Students who have finished their junior or sophomore years,
that are over 16 years old, have a 3.0 GPA or better, and are involved in
extra-curricular activities like sports, and clubs
are eligible to apply. Students that have an influence or
leadership position in their communities or school are highly encouraged to
apply. Academy dates are July 17-23 and
the application deadline is April 8th. Accommodations for food
and lodging are provided, the only cost to the
participants is the plane ticket to Dulles. See your guidance counselor for an
