Bowling Party @ King Pin on MLK Weekend Sunday, January 17 9:00pm 11pm Unlimited bowling, $15 No school on Monday so come have some fun! Everyone is invited. Lanes can hold 5-6 people if you want to put a team together. This event is sponsored by the WHS After Prom committee. Representatives of After Prom will register you at the door starting at 8:30pm, only cash or checks made out to WHS After Prom will be accepted. Pizza & candy will be available to purchase. General Announcements:
Class Dues are collected every year by class
sponsors in lieu of fundraisers. Money collected is
used to pay for the Junior Class Prom and the Senior Trip. It is not collected in registration and should
be paid directly to a class sponsor.
· Freshmen Pay $20 dues to Mr. Beard, Mr. Martens, Mrs. Whitten, or Mrs. Beard
· Sophomores Pay $20 dues to Mrs. Walsh

Lincoln Land Scholarship Applications Available: The
Lincoln Land Community College Foundation is currently accepting scholarship
applications for the 2016-2017 academic year. Students
considering or planning to attend Lincoln Land Community College beginning in
fall 2016 are encouraged to apply. Deadline to apply is March
1
Only one application form is
needed to apply for all scholarships. More information, in addition to the
online application, can be found at www.llccfoundation.org/scholarships.
Students, Please be aware that anyone with an outstanding balance on their library account over $5.00 will not be allowed to come to the library during resource. If you have an outstanding balance of $5.00 or more on your library account at the beginning of the second semester, you will not be allowed to use the library or check out books. Special arrangements can be made for you with your teacher should you need the library for a particular project. Books could be used in the library, but not taken out of the library.
The FCCLA/FFA Winter Formal will be held Saturday,
February 27th from 8-11pm. Tickets
will be on sale the week prior to the dance for $5 a ticket.
High school senior open house at ITT Technical Institute
will be held on Saturday January 23rd from 10am-1:00pm and February 20th from 10am-1:00pm. Instructors will be available to help answer student
questions, students will tour the facilities, and complimentary refreshments

ITT would like to invite you and
your parents to set an appointment to complete your FAFSA for your first year
in college. Call 217-547-5700
the appointment is free of charge and there is no obligation to attend ITT
courses. Appointments will be held at the White Oaks Mall on March
5th and 12th from 9am-12pm. Please have you taxes filed with
the IRS 3 weeks prior to the date you come in, for easy access to this
information on the IRS website.
Sports
Boosters will be selling clothing at the basketball game on 1/22/16.

The Parent-Athlete Night for boys and girls track and field is next Wednesday, Jan. 20th at 6pm in the
cafeteria. The meeting will last approximately 30 minutes.
