Monday, January 11:

 

Lunch:  Crispito or corn dog, colby-Jack cheese, sweet baked beans, sweetened strawberries, chocolate grahams, ½ pint of milk

 

Students, Please be aware that anyone with an outstanding balance on their library account over $5.00 will not be allowed to come to the library during resource. If you have an outstanding balance of $5.00 or more on your library account at the beginning of the second semester, you will not be allowed to use the library or check out books.  Special arrangements can be made for you with your teacher should you need the library for a particular project.  Books could be used in the library, but not taken out of the library.

Tuesday, January 12:

 

Lunch:  French toast sticks or Bacon/egg/ cheese pizza, sausage links, seasoned potato wedges, orange slices, juice cup, Chocolate Chex, ½ pint of milk

 

Youth & Government: All revisions for Bills, Briefs, Lobbyist Position Papers, and LA Forum Proposals are due Tuesday, 1/12 (via Google Docs). Ms. Faloon-Sullivan will be here after school on Monday until 6:30 p.m. if anyone needs help making revisions. 

 

Girls & Boys who will be participating in track - We'll begin 'Fun Runs' Tuesday, Jan. 12th.  These are a way to help you get ready for the upcoming track season if you are not currently doing basketball or football/soccer training.  Dress warm since we'll be outside for most of the time.  These are for sprinters, distance runners, or throwers.    Fun Runs will be every Tuesday and Thursday until track begins on Feb. 8th.  We'll meet by the cafeteria after school and will be done no later than 4:30pm.

6:00pm - Wrestling @ Beardstown/Illini West @ Beardstown – Bus leaves 3:00pm

 

6:00pm - Boys Freshman Basketball @ Auburn High School – Bus leaves 4:25pm

 

6:00pm - Boys Varsity Basketball vs Tri-City High School (Sangamon County Tournament @ LLCC) – Bus leaves 4:40pm

 

Wednesday, January 13:

 

Lunch:  Hot ham & cheese sandwich or BBQ shredded chicken sandwich, tater tots, baby carrots, pineapple chunks, ½ pint of milk

 

S.A.V.E. Club meeting after school in Mrs. Lorton's room to plan for second semester activities. All members are encouraged to attend. Anyone interested in joining the club please come to the meeting.

 

6:00pm - After Prom Meeting – Junior Parents Invited to Attend – WHS Cafeteria

 

Thursday, January 14:

Sunday, January 17:

 

Bowling Party @ King Pin on MLK Weekend– Sunday, January 17 – 9:00pm – 11pm – Unlimited bowling, $15 – No school on Monday so come have some fun!  Everyone is invited.  Lanes can hold 5-6 people if you want to put a team together.  This event is sponsored by the WHS After Prom committee.  Representatives of After Prom will register you at the door starting at 8:30pm, only cash or checks made out to WHS After Prom will be accepted.  Snacks will be also be available to purchase.  Any questions?  Call Jennifer Clark  217-553-6487 or email clark@wcusd15.org.

 

 

General Announcements:

 

Class Dues are collected every year by class sponsors in lieu of fundraisers.  Money collected is used to pay for the Junior Class Prom and the Senior Trip.  It is not collected in registration and should be paid directly to a class sponsor. 

·         Freshmen –Pay $20 dues to Mr. Beard, Mr. Martens, Mrs. Whitten, or Mrs. Beard

·         Sophomores – Pay $20 dues to Mrs. Walsh

·         Juniors – Pay $20 dues to Mrs. Sturgeon

Lincoln Land Scholarship Applications Available: The Lincoln Land Community College Foundation is currently accepting scholarship applications for the 2016-2017 academic year. Students considering or planning to attend Lincoln Land Community College beginning in fall 2016 are encouraged to apply. Deadline to apply is March 1
