Lunch:  Mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce or Cheese ravioli in marinara sauce, garlic breadstick, sweetened sliced carrots, sliced pears, ½ pint of milk

 

 

Tuesday, November 17:

 

Lunch:  Breaded chicken sandwich or Spicy chicken sandwich, sweet potato fries, warm cinnamon apples, pineapple chunks, ½ pint of milk

 

Please see Mrs. Sturgeon today or tomorrow if you are interested in participating in the BridgePal contest sponsored by Bradley University.  Final registration is THIS FRIDAY!  This is an excellent opportunity for those wanting to go into engineering, architecture, or construction.

Wednesday, November 18:

 

Lunch:  Taco quesadillas or Toasted cheese sandwich, white chicken chili, baby carrots, applesauce, Juice cup, ½ pint of milk

 

Juniors – After Prom Meeting for All Junior Parents – 6:00 PM, WHS Cafeteria

 

Youth & Government meeting to work on revised bills, briefs, Lobbyist Position Papers, LA Forum Proposals, and Legislation Stories - please get everything turned in by Thursday!

 

Thursday, November 19:

 

Lunch:  Spaghetti with meat sauce or Italian meatball sandwich, ranch chick peas, cranberry spinach salad, diced peaches, cinnamon grahams, ½ pint of milk

 

6:00pm - Girls Varsity Basketball @ Argenta-Oreana High School – Bus leaves 4:15 pm

 

6:30 pm Band Booster Meeting: Please meet in the WHS band room. All band parents are encouraged to attend.

 

Friday, November 20:

General Announcements:

 

Class Dues are collected every year by class sponsors in lieu of fundraisers.  Money collected is used to pay for the Junior Class Prom and the Senior Trip.  It is not collected in registration and should be paid directly to a class sponsor. 

·         Freshmen –Pay $20 dues to Mr. Beard, Mr. Martens, Mrs. Whitten, or Mrs. Beard

·         Sophomores – Pay $20 dues to Mrs. Walsh

·         Juniors – Pay $20 dues to Mrs. Sturgeon

WHS is looking for an outstanding sophomore to represent our high school at the 2015 Hugh O'Brian Youth (HOBY) Leadership Seminar.  Each year HOBY empowers 9,000 high school students to excel as leaders and innovators. 2015-2016 Yearbook - Jostens, our school's yearbook publisher, has been sending out emails this year to students and parents to purchase yearbooks for 2015-2016 school year.  These are legitimate emails, and yearbooks can be purchased by following the instructions in the email.  This is the first year Jostens is using this email system.   

 

Congratulations to Brenna Cordum – October Student of the Month!

 

Student Council is sponsoring a drive for items to give to the homeless at Kumler Outreach. Fourth Hour classes will compete to see who can fill the most bags with the list of items that were handed out to the teachers.  The winning class will be treated to a 4th Hour Feast of Kentucky Fried Chicken and all the fixings!!  The drive will run from Monday, November 16 to Monday, November 23.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Walsh or Kaylee Burton.
