Wednesday,  May 20:


Lunch:  French toast bread or Bacon/egg/ cheese pizza, sausage link, breakfast potatoes, orange juice, cookie Crisp, ½ pint of milk


Auditions for the 2015-2016 WHS Jazz Band will be held in on Wednesday May 20th in the WHS band room.  Any band student regardless previous jazz experience is welcome to audition.  Auditions will be held between 3:45 and 8:45 on the 20th. 


4:30pm - Varsity Baseball vs. Maroa Forsyth @ IHSA Class 2A Regional Semi-Final @ Warrensburg-Latham- Bus leaves 2:40pm, please dismiss 2:30pm


Thursday, May 21:


Lunch:  Toasted cheese sandwich or Mozzarella cheese sticks, homemade chili, ranch oyster crackers, baby carrots, fresh fruit, ½ pint of milk


Girls Track @ IHSA Girls State in Charleston– Bus leaves 6:30 am


2:00pm - Track & Field @ IHSA Boys Track Sectionals @ Tremont – Bus leaves 1:00, dismiss 12:50pm.


S.A.V.E. Club will have an end of year meeting on Thursday after school in Mrs. Lorton's room. New officers will be selected. Be sure to attend. Any student that wants to join S.A.V.E. Club for next year can attend.

General Announcements:


Summer Employment:  Coach Hodgson is looking for workers for his produce farm this summer.  Sign up in the office if you are interested.


Student Council Applications are in a folder outside Mrs. Walsh’s room.


Boys Golf:  Any boy who missed the golf sign up meeting may still sign up by calling or texting Coach Trine at 415-5907. Information sheets are in the office.


Congrats to the HS Girls track team on an excellent job at the Sectional meet Friday night. Congratulations to the following who advanced to the IHSA State Track Meet this Thursday:

·         Cheyanna Michael - Triple Jump

·         Abbey Galusha - 800 m dash

·         4x800 m relay (Rottinghaus, Rhodes, McCain and Galusha)


Class Dues:  Your class dues must be paid in full for every year you have been in high school.  These funds are used to pay for prom during Junior year and the class trip your senior year.  Class dues are collected instead of holding annual fundraisers by class sponsors and is independent of school registration.

Teachers will be in their rooms at 8:18 each day of exams if students have questions or would like to study.  Students do not need to arrive until between 8:45 and 9:00 a.m.  If students who ride the bus cannot arrange their own transportation, they will arrive at their regular time and report to their first exam classroom at 8:18.


All students may leave at 2:15 p.m., but not before, on days one and two of the exams.  If transportation is a problem, students can report to the gym to be supervised by Mr. Furlow on day one and two of exams.  On day three of exams, students may leave if they have 4th hour Resource or once they have completed their last exam, and the buses will run at 11:30 a.m. on this day. 


Students:  Please note that you must leave school grounds if you leave early on Day 3 of exams.  You cannot stay in the building.  You are not allowed to go to the junior high.
