After Prom – WHS – Thank you to the Priesters and the Junior Class Parents for hosting this great event!  Those attending should remember to bring tennis shoes.

 

General Announcements:

 

Kindness Contest: Any student that volunteers or provides assistance to others for a total of 5 hours between April 28 and May 11 will be entered into a drawing for one of five $20.00 gift cards. Students can pick up a form in the office for official rules and log for their time.

 

Summer Employment:  Coach Hodgson is looking for workers for his produce farm this summer.  Sign up in the office if you are interested.

 

The University of Spa & Cosmetology is inviting all interested students to attend their open house on Wednesday, June 3rd from 5-7pmThey are located at 2913 W White Oaks Drive, Springfield.  Campus tours, financial aid guidance, and program information will be available.

Girls on the Run of Central Illinois is excited to share a volunteer opportunity-"One in a Million" 5k event. There are several volunteer positions available. Roles include: packet pick up, face painting, Happy Hair, water stop, course marshal, and cheer team.  The event takes place Saturday, May 16th at Lincoln Land Community College.   To view a list of shifts or to sign up, please visit www.GOTRcentralillinois.org/5kevent. ACT:  The next national test date is June 13. Registration deadline is May 8. June is a great time for juniors to take the ACT. Williamsville High School is a test center. See the guidance office with questions. 

 

WHS Student Art Show Fine Arts Night May 14. 6:00 pm 6:30 pm:  Family and friends are invited to view the WHS Student Art Show Thursday, May 14, from 6:00 pm – 6:30 pm. Their art will be on display from Monday May 11 through Friday May 15

 

Williamsville High School Concert and Jazz Bands will be presenting their final concert of the year at the WHS Fine Arts Night, May 14, at 6:30 pm which will also feature the choir and senior art show. The Band portion of the night will begin at 6:30 PM in the db20150508 gym.  We are inviting members of the community to this Patriotic-themed concert where we will be recognizing current and former service members and performing some patriotic favorites and big band classics that are sure to be a hit.

 

Vocal Music will perform at Fine Arts Night on May 14 at 7:45 pm.

 

Boys Golf:  Any boy who missed the golf sign up meeting last week, may still sign up by calling or texting me at 415-5907. Information sheets are in the office.

Class Dues:  Your class dues must be paid in full for every year you have been in high school.  These funds are used to pay for prom during Junior year and the class trip your senior year.  Class dues are collected instead of holding annual fundraisers.
