Ronald McDonald house charities of central Illinois is putting together a teen council program for Sangamon County. The purpose of this program is to encourage volunteerism and provide civic engagement opportunities. The council members will be between the ages of 15 and 18 who will meet monthly at the Ronald McDonald House. Applications are available in the guidance office. Two students from each local high school will be selected to join the council. Applications must be completed by August 5, 2015.
Vocal Music Booster Scholarship The VMB will be offering a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior. Deadline to apply is April 21. Applications are available in the guidance office.

participate in their Illini Summer Academies. This unique opportunity allows high school students to work alongside
university professors and learn at the college campus. Imagine spending four
days exploring many degree programs and studying a specific field of interest

There will be an informational cheerleading meeting on Friday, April 24 at 3:30 pm in the high school cafeteria. Any incoming freshman or current high school girl or boy is encouraged to attend to have any questions answered about the upcoming season and tryouts. Congrats to the girls track team on a great meet last night at the Lewistown Invitational. Several PR's were set last night as well as the 4 X8 (McCain, Buckley, Rhodes, Galusha) placed 3rd, Cheyanna Michael placed 1st in Triple Jump, Becca Coughlin placed 4th in the 100 m hurdles, Abbey Galusha placed 3rd in the 800, the 4 X 200 (Henrickson, Rottinghaus, McCain, Rhodes) placed 4th and the 4 X 400 (Rhodes, McCain, Michael, Galusha) placed 4th.
