Wednesday, December 10:

 

Lunch:  Hot ham & cheese sandwich or BBQ shredded chicken sandwich, sliced tomato, tater tots, red pepper strips, sliced pears, ½ pint of milk

 

Baseball open gym:  6:30-8pm for all guys not playing a winter sport.

SAVE Movie Night - The movie will be in the cafeteria.  Free pizza and soda!

 

The Writers' Reading Club will meet to discuss the story "The Coyote Howls" by Mary C. Moore. The discussion will be in Dr. Morrissey's room, 215, and last from 3:25 to 4:00. General Announcements:

 

WHS students proved that they had the home "court" advantage at the IL YMCA Youth and Government Pre-Leg II session last Saturday. The following students were elected to statewide office: Austin Tuttle: Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Observer, Emily Hergert, Sophia Pensabene, and Eddie Priester: Committee Chairs, Kaitlyn Mayer: Chaplain of the House, Gabby Jones: Clerk of the House, Alli Mool: Sergeant-at-Arms of the House, Emily Cotner, Joy Miller, and Samantha Mool: Bill Flow Clerks, and Ashton Henrikson: Forum Moderator. Congratulations to our student delegates, and special thanks to all the Y&G parents for volunteering and donating items for the lunch!

 

Band Boosters meeting is scheduled for Monday, December 15 at 6:30 PM in the high school band room.

 

Students interested in competing in track and field this coming spring should attend a short informational meeting next Tuesday, Dec.16th in Mr. Rigney's room (105).  The meeting will be right after school.  This is a change in dates from the previous announcement.

2015-2016 Registration:  If you have questions or concerns regarding your 2015-2016 class registration there is a sign up sheet in the Guidance office outside Mrs. Bryant's door.  Students will be seen on a first come first serve basis.

Early Bird Exam

 

Teachers will be in their rooms for the Study Period if students have questions or would like to study.  Students do not need to arrive until between 8:45 and 9:00 a.m. and report to their first hour exam.  If students who ride the bus cannot arrange their own transportation, they will arrive at their regular time and report to their first exam classroom at 8:18.

 

All students may leave at 2:15 p.m., but not before, on day one and two of exams.  Buses will run at 3:15 on Wednesday and Thursday.  If transportation is a problem, students can report to the gym to be supervised by Mr. Furlow or Mr. Eucker.  On day three of exams, students may leave if they do not have Early Bird or once they have completed their last exam.

 

Seniors: 

·         You do not have to stay for the last period of the day if the exam you opt out of is scheduled for that period. 

·         You must stay until your last exam is over; you cannot leave in the middle of an exam period. 

·         You must bring a note from home stating that have permission to leave after your last final of the day. 

THIS IS ONLY FOR SENIORS OPTING OUT OF AN EXAM THE LAST PERIOD OF THE DAY.
