Celebrate My Drive – The Bullets are excited to partner with Celebrate my Drive, State Farm, and all of the Bullet Fans to celebrate teen driver safety.  Don’t forget to make your daily commitment in support of our school at www.celebratemydrive.com.  Ten high schools will win $100,000 and two will get a spectacular concert experience.  Let’s all commit to drive 2N2 every trip:  2 eyes on the road, 2 hands on the wheel!

FCCLA will be sponsoring the third annual diaper drive during 5th hour classes from October 20th through the 24th.  The class that collects the most diapers/student will win a pizza party!  This is a great cause for mothers and babies in need in our community.

 

Show your support and pride in the 2014 Williamsville Football team with this year's playoff apparel.  Tshirts and hoodies are available in both black and purple.  Orders must be received by end of school, Wednesday, October 22.  Please turn in orders to: Mr. Kunz.  Order forms available on the school’s website.

Youth and Government Students: Please turn in Fannie May forms NO LATER than Wednesday, Oct. 22! Butter Braid forms are not due until Nov. 5, so keep selling! Meeting Wednesday at 6 p.m. for Legislators, Lobbyists, and Legislative Assistants to work on writing bills, but those in the play are excused. We will do the same thing next Wednesday, Oct. 29- meet to work on bills.

Capitol Radio Group—Zoolie Ghoulie at Henson Robinson Zoo

For anyone needing community service hours, the Capitol Radio Group is sponsoring Zoolie Ghoulie at Henson Robinson Zoo from 1:00-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2014, and Sunday, October 26, 2014. If anyone is interested, please see Mr. Martens.

 

Parent-Teacher Conferences: WHS is once again using Sign-Up Genius for parents to reserve Parent-Teacher Conferences with each of their student’s teachers.  Ten minute slots are available on the following days:

·                     November 6th:  12:30-3:30 PM, 4:00-8:00 PM

·                     November 7th : 8:00 – 11:00 AM

WHS is looking for an outstanding sophomore to represent our high school at the 2015 Hugh O'Brian Youth (HOBY) Leadership Seminar.  Each year HOBY empowers 9,000 high school students to excel as leaders and innovators. Boys Basketball:  There will be a MANDATORY Parent-Athlete meeting on Monday November 3rd for anyone interested in trying out for boys basketball at 6:30 in the high school gym.  Please make sure at least one parent attends the meeting.  Boys Basketball tryouts begin November 10th.

Any student interested in community service UCP coin drive is looking for volunteers to collect money on Saturday for 2 hours at the at Schnucks on Sangamon. Please see Mrs. Chladny for more details. 

 

Attention Seniors: Reminder that October is "College Application Month" come work on applications, essays, scholarships or ask anything college related on Thursday, October 23 in the library where Illinois Student Assistance Commission representatives will be available to assist you. A sign-up sheet is in the library or walk-in's are welcome on Thursday.
