Congratulations to the Lady Bullets Softball team on their win last night in Regionals! WHS beat Macon Meridian and plays for the championship on Saturday in Tri-City.


Congrats to the girls track team on a great job at the Capital Area Honor Roll Meet. We had several top 3 medalists:

         Amber Robbs 3rd in pole vault

         Jordan French 3rd in discus and she shattered her own school record with a throw of 121'11

         Tia McCarty won the 100

         Rachel Rhodes won the 400

         Abbey Galusha placed 3rd in 800

         4x2 placed 2nd

         4x4 placed 1st


Congratulations to the following boys who competed in the Capital Area Classic Track and Field Meet last night at Chatham-Glenwood High School:

         Morgan Flynn - 400 - 1st & 200 - 3rd

         John Karras - 200 - 1st

         Noah Horton - 3200 - 2nd

Senior Portfolio Scholarship Awards: Congratulations to Russell Konzelmann He won a $600 scholarship for his Senior Portfolio. This was awarded through the Old State Capitol Art Fair, Senior Portfolio Scholarship Awards. Its purpose is to encourage and educate students the value of the arts. Seniors from the city and surrounding counties are invited to submit a portfolio of 3-4 works of art for the competition. This year there were over 40 students participating to win one of six, $600. scholarships.


The Lady Bullet Track team has 10 events going to State!! Congratulations to all of the girls on an AMAZING Sectional Meet!! Here are the state qualifiers:

         Amber Robbs jumped 9'9

         HJ Rachel Rhodes jumped 5'4

         Jordan French threw 112'11 and broke the school record

         Tia McCarty going to State in 100 meter dash with a time of 12.99

         Abbey Galusha going to state in the 800 2:25.93

         4x2 placed 1st with a time of 1:50.1

         4x4 going to State 2nd place with a time of 4:11.54

         Rachel Rhodes going to state in the 400 with a time of 1:00.24 and in the 200 with a time of 27.25

         Cheyanna Michael set a new school record in the triple jump with a jump of 34'00 1/2.


Rockets Soccer Club - Competitive Soccer Tryouts: Tryouts for the Fall 2014-Spring 2015 RSC Competitive Soccer Club will be held May 27th, 28th, and 29th, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm at Rochester Community Park Soccer Fields. Rockets Soccer Club (RSC) is open to age groups U8-U15, boys and girls. RSC is open to competitive soccer players from all communities and school districts. RSC provides IYSA Certified coaches, professional trainers, league and/or tournament play, and provides a competitive, yet fun, atmosphere for all soccer players to develop their skills and abilities.

2014 Madrigal Auditions - Wed - May 28th: Auditions for the 2014 WHS Madrigal Ensemble will be held in the WHS Choir Room from 3:30-7:45PM on Wednesday May 28th. Interested students should stop by the WHS choir room to sign-up for a designated 5-minute time slot, pick-up an audition packet and practice cd.
