High School Cheerleading Informational Meeting :  There will be an informational meeting on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 3:30 pm in the WHS Cafeteria for any girls that are interested in trying out for the 2014-2015 Bullet Cheerleading Team.

 

National College Decision Day Reveal: Seniors students are encouraged to wear a college t-shirt from the educational institution they plan to attend next year, on Thursday May 1st.

 

Annual Scholastic Bowl Faculty Grudge Match is Thursday, May 1, 6 p.m. in the library. J/V and Varsity, please let Mrs. Letterly know if you will be there by dropping by the library -- there will be a sheet there to sign your name, and let your parents know they are welcome to participate.

AP Exam money is due by Friday, May 2nd. Please bring $89 (per test) to the Guidance Office if you plan to take an exam(s) or $15 (per exam) if you have changed your mind and do not plan to test. Please see Mrs. Chladny if you have any questions.

Congratulations to Annelise Mool, Hannah Levin, and Rachel McCullar for advancing to state IHSA Journalism finals at Charleston this Friday. Good luck!

 

Congratulations to the boys track and field team on their 3rd place finish (out of 17 teams) at the Rochester Invitational on Saturday. Leading the way for the Bullets was Morgan Flynn with two first place finishes in the 200 and 400. Nick Cox took second in the shot put, Noah Horton placed 2nd in the 3200m run, and the 4x400 relay team (Evan Funk, Mitch Owens, Jonathan Miller, Flynn) took second.

 

Congratulations to the Lady Bullets on an AWESOME finish at Rochester. The girls placed 2nd overall which was our highest place ever. Way to go!!! People who placed in the top 4 are:

·      Amber Robbs broke the school record and got 2nd with a jump of 10'0 in the pole vault

·      Rachel Rhodes 1st in HJ& 400

·      Jordan French 2nd in discus

·      Cheyanna Michael 4th in Long Jump

·      Tia McCarty - 2nd in 100& 200

·      4x2 1st place

·      4x4 1st place

 

Volleyball Players:  All WHS volleyball forms and money are due Monday, May 5th. Please give to either Coach Matulevich at the high school or Mrs. Snow at the junior high.

 

Parents and family members are invited to view The Senior Art Show. It will be open for viewing Thursday, May 8, from 6:00 - 6:45 PM. light refreshments will be served.

Sign up for Baccalaureate in the office.  Baccalaureate will be held May 18, 2:00 PM, at the Sherman United Methodist Church.
