Students wishing to make a schedule change for second semester can begin signing up for appointments. Sign-up sheets are posted on Mrs. Chladny's door. Appointments will take place December 9-11.

 

The WHS Madrigal Ensemble presents an inaugural performance,“A Beggar’s Feast”, Thursday, December 12, 2013 – 6:30PM at the WJHS Fine Arts Center. Come join us for the full Madrigal Renaissance Christmas experience: music, drama, and all of the water and bread crumbs you can consume.   Tickets on sale now:whs.booktix.com ($5 + 50’) or $6 at the castle door.  Performance Length –75-minutes

 

The FCCLA and FHA are pleased to announce the Winter Formal this year will be February 8th, 2014 from 8:00 to 11:00pm.  So mark your calendars!

 

The football banquet will be held on Wednesday December 11  Reservations due by December 6.

 

Any boy or girl who missed the high school track meeting last Tuesday should stop by Mr. Rigney's room to pick up the handouts.

 

Registration is open for the Better Test Scores ACT prep pilot program. Please visit the guidance webpage to view an informational flyer or stop by the guidance office. Only students at participating high schools can take advantage of this program. The online program is 16 weeks in length and costs $150 (discounted from $375). If a student registers before Christmas they will receive an extra $25 discount bringing their total down to $125. If you are looking for an ACT prep program to fit your busy schedule-this is the one for you. Take advantage of this opportunity!

 

Seniors: do not forget to bring a copy of your acceptance letter into the guidance office. We will soon be displaying where students plan to attend college.

 

School Lunch Survey:  We are planning the Spring menu, and want to include your favorite items.  This week, there will be survey sheets to fill out in the resource classrooms.  Ask your resource teacher if you don't see them.  Thanks for your help!

 

The Sports Booster Clothing Sale will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14th – 9a – 12p at the Sherman Athletic Club. Get your bullet wear Christmas presents!!! The After-Prom Committee will be selling Krispy Kreme donuts as well. Glazed - $8 a dozen; Chocolate Glazed - $10 a dozen.

Early Bird Exam

 

Teachers will be in their rooms for the Study Period if students have questions or would like to study.  Students do not need to arrive until between 8:45 and 9:00 a.m. and report to their first hour exam.  If students who ride the bus cannot arrange their own transportation, they will arrive at their regular time and report to their first exam classroom at 8:18.

 

All students may leave at 2:15 p.m., but not before, on day one and two of the exams.  If transportation is a problem, students can report to the gym to be supervised by Mr. Furlow or Mr. Eucker on day one and two of exams.  On day three of exams, students may leave if they do not have Early Bird or once they have completed their last exam, and the buses will run at 2:15 p.m. on this day.
