Track Meeting:  There will be a meeting next Tuesday, Nov. 26 for any boy or girl interested in high school track. The meeting will be held in the cafeteria from 3:25-3:40.

General Announcements:


 

The Capitol Chapter of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers is offering scholarships to seniors who at least have a 3.0 GPA, ACT score of 29 in Math, and 25 in English. Applicants must be accepted into an engineering program at an accredited school. Find the application at http://www.illinoisengineer.com/chapter-capital.shtml   The deadline is Jan 17th

 

Robert Morris University is opening $15,000 renewable scholarships to WHS students who are interested in nursing. To be considered, applicants must have a 2.5 or higher GPA, ACT composite score of 21 or higher, an ACT math score of 21 or higher, and a grade of C or higher in advanced algebra courses, biology, and chemistry. All application materials must be submitted by February 1st. See guidance for more details.

 

Students wishing to make a schedule change for second semester can begin signing up for appointments. Sign-up sheets are posted on Mrs. Chladny's door. Appointments will take place December 9-11.

 

Congratulations to Mrs. Lorton's 1st hour Biology class!  They won the t-shirt drive challenge.  They donated 304 t-shirts, which was an average of 23 per student!  Miss Haarmann's Resource was second and Mrs. Allen's PE class was third.  Thank you to all who donated.  Overall we collected 2900 t-shirts!
