General Announcements:


Attention Junior Parents: The After Prom committee needs your help! Lottery Calendar tickets for November are now available. We are asking each family to sell 10 or more tickets if possible. We are selling them for $10 this year. One ticket offers 30 chances to win! Families can pick up tickets at the football field after the Homecoming parade and at the game Friday night. They will also be available for purchase. We can also get tickets to you directly by calling Laura Horton at 494-3331 or Lori Bleyer at 494-1465. Thank you for your support!


Juniors: When you are done selling your after prom fundraising tickets, please turn in your tickets and money to a class officer ASAP!


Scholastic Bowl: The Scholastic Bowl practice schedule is posted on the website and through the Scholastic Bowl Edmodo site.


Sophomores-applications for the HOBY Leadership Conference is open now until November 18. Williamsville High School will select one outstanding sophomore to attend as a HOBY Ambassador with expenses paid. Interested students should learn more about HOBY by visiting www.hoby.org


Volunteer Opportunity - For anyone needing community service hours, the Capitol Radio Group is sponsoring Zoolie Ghoulie at Henson Robinson Zoo from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19 and 26, 2013, and Sunday, October 20 and 27, 2013. Volunteers will be passing out candy in the safe trick-or-treating event inside the zoo gates. If anyone is interested, please see Mr. Martens.


Congrats to Marty Pesch for advancing to the State golf tournament this Friday and Saturday in Bloomington. Marty shot an 81 at Sectionals, which was in the top ten individuals to qualify for state. Way to go Marty!


Boys golf team: please turn in Putt-a-thon Money to Mrs. Clark in the office and return your golf bags to the office as soon as you can. Any questions call coach Trine.

Boys Basketball: There will be a mandatory parent-athlete meeting on Monday, November 4th at 6:30 pm in the high school gym for any boys interested in trying out for boys basketball this year. Tryouts will be held November 11 and 12 for all boys not currently involved in a sport.



Next week, SAVE Club is celebrating Red Ribbon Week. Schools across America are celebrating the choice to be Drug Free. We are also encouraging everyone to take a stand against bullying.


      On Wednesday, dress in red to show we stand as one against drugs and violence.


      On Thursday, SAVE Club invites you to join us for a movie and pizza right after school.


Plato & Flora S. McCourtney Foundation Scholarship applications are available in the guidance office. Preference will be given to students seeking a technical or scientific education. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years. Deadline to apply is March 31, 2014.
