Thursday, April 11:

 

Lunch: Cheeseburger macaroni or BBQ chicken sandwich, strawberry spinach salad, sliced peaches, pretzels, pint of milk

 

Attention Junior Prom Committee members: Meeting Thursday morning at 7:30 am. Also anyone who can stay after school on Thursday to begin decoration prep will be appreciated. Both meetings are in Mrs. Whitten's room.

 

Tie Dye Art Club Fundraiser - Sales start today for tshirts, tank tops, and hoodies. There is a limited supply and prices will range from $7 - $15

 

S.A.V.E. members: there will be a meeting before school on Thursday in Mrs. Lorton's room at 7:45 am.

Cheerleading Tryout Information - There will be a meeting in the high school Library for anyone interested in trying out Thursday April 11 at 6:30pm. A parent and anyone interested in trying out should attend. Try outs will take place at the high school April 22-25 beginning at 6:30.

 

HS Girls Track - Intrasquad Fundraiser Meet today at home. Please be in uniform and meet Coach Jones on the track at 3:35. Please remember to wear your sweats and bring your fundraising money with you.

Senior Graduation Orders: If you have not yet picked up your cap & gown order, you may do so in the office. If there is a balance due, there are a couple of options. Orders may be paid for in cash or money order. If you prefer to pay by credit or debit, please call 217-483-8989 and Jostens will process your payment over the phone. Checks will not be accepted. Extra announcements are also available for purchase. $1.20 per announcement or 5 for $6.

 

Get your tickets now for the 2nd annual Williamsville Jazz Dinner on the evening of Saturday April 27 featuring great swing music, a full dinner from Hickory River, a loaded silent auction, and a dance floor. Coach Simmons and Coach Carlson will be passing out summer volleyball schedules during right after the bell rings at the HS on Monday, April 15 in Coach Simmons room.

 

Summer in the City-Columbia College in Chicago's High School Summer Institute is an intensive 3 week program for creative students who have completed their 10th, 11th, or 12th grade year and who want to immerse themselves in the visual, media, and communication arts in downtown Chicago! Stop by guidance of more details.

 

CRD Advisors, a contract corn research company is currently seeking applicants for summer positions. Summer Research Crew can last up to three months and includes activities like hand pollinating, detasseling, plot db20130411tenance, stand counting, and field notes. For more information and an application please contact the high school guidance office or check out the fliers around the school.

 

Be on the look for Courtney Trueblood's art work that is featured on billboards and posters in the Springfield and surrounding stores. Her work won 1st place in the Springfield Old Capitol Art Fair Poster Contest. She also received $200 and will have her work professionally framed.

 

Congratulations to Dan Heidorn, he won 3rd place at the Old Capitol Art Fair and $100 with his batik entry of "The Dr." The WHS Art Dept. will also receive $300.

Swing Dance Lessons: In preparation for the Williamsville Jazz Dinner we will be offering free swing dancing lessons for anyone interested in learning at WJHS on Thursday April 18th and Tuesday April 23rd @ the WJHS gym. All are welcome!
