Buy a Chocolate Bunny for your Honey or some Peeps for your friends. S.A.V.E. will be selling chocolate bunnies or a package of peeps for $2.00. You can write a personalized message and we will deliver it before spring break.

 

Congratulations to the members of the boys track and field team who competed in the highly competitive Charleston Indoor Invite at EIU on Saturday. Over 25 schools competed in the meet. Placing for the Bullets were: Morgan Flynn took second in the 400m dash, Mitch Owens placed third in the 800m run, 4x200m relay of John Karras, Ben Kovacevich, Ryan Scheffler, and Flynn took fourth, and the 4x400m relay of Evan Funk, Kovacevich, Owens, and Flynn placed seventh.

 

Congratulations to our Youth and Government students for doing a fantastic job this past weekend at the Assembly! The bill group of Jonathan Miller, Marty Pesch, and Abby Yeley had the first bill passed of the weekend, and they were also featured on the WHS News Program. Rachel McCullar served as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Y&G Observer, and Jonathan Miller served as Chaplain of the Senate. All of our students made a positive impact this weekend! Thank you for representing WHS so well! Also, remember that we are participating in the Village Board meeting next Monday, March 25 at 6:30 p.m. Please respond to the Edmodo post so I know who is coming. I am counting on you to represent us again!

 

Applications for the Orlene Drobish Moore are available in the guidance office or on the guidance webpage. This a scholarship open to WHS graduating seniors only. Deadline to apply is April 22, 2013. Applications and supporting documents should be turned in to the guidance office.

 

Sports Boosters meeting on Wed, April 3rd at the Sherman Village Hall – 5:30pm. Committees are being formed and many events are being planned. Please come join us!

 

Congratulations to the Mrs. Strack, Mr. Casson & the New Berlin Art Show Winners!  Over 20 schools participated in the 2013 New Berlin Art Fair.  WHS received 3 of the 5 Best of Shows.  An art student at WJHS also received a Best of Show!
