Monday, March 11:


Lunch:  Breaded chicken sandwich or Spicy chicken sandwich, seasoned sweet potato fries, diced pears, Goldfish crackers, ½ pint of milk


The Williamsville Vocal Music Boosters will meet tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the high school teachers’ lounge. All parents of junior high and high school choral parents are welcome to attend.


Teen Court will meet tonight at the Williamsville Fire House, please be there by 5:30


Tuesday, March 12:


Lunch:  French toast sticks/syrup or Sausage gravy over biscuit, sausage links, tomato juice, potato wedges, blueberry compote, Cinnamon Toast Crunch (sandwiches only), ½ pint of milk


6:00pm - NHS Induction - Attending the Induction Ceremony is mandatory for all members and inductees, and everyone should report to the choir (Room 110) no later than 5:30 p.m. There will be a reception with cake and punch immediately following the ceremony. Inductees are also reminded that they need to pay their $10 annual membership dues to Mr. Martens no later 3:30 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2013, if they are wanting to be inducted.


Wednesday, March 13:


Lunch:  Roasted chicken with biscuit or Teriyaki chicken with biscuit, sweet baked beans, creamy coleslaw, applesauce, cinnamon grahams, ½ pint of milk


Students who are NEW to Youth and Government this year: Meetings EITHER Wednesday at 7:55 a.m. OR 3:20 p.m. to go over the schedule and answer any questions.

S.A.V.E. Club meeting in Mrs. Lorton's room before and after school on Thursday. If you haven't paid for your shirt yet please do so by Thursday.

New Berlin Art Fair is March 16 & 17 at the Sangamon County Fairgrounds.  The exhibition is open to the public Saturday 12:00-4:00 pm and Sunday 9:00am - 2:30pm.

Freshmen who have not paid their class dues should do so ASAP to Mrs. Flammini. Class dues are $25 if paid before Spring Break. If paid after Spring Break the dues go up to $30.


The WHS Sports Boosters Outstanding Sportsmanship Scholarship is now open to senior athletes, cheerleaders, and student managers. Applications are available in the Guidance Office or can be downloaded on the guidance webpage. Applicants must have a letter of recommendation from his or her coach. One award will be given to senior male athlete and one senior girl athlete worth $500. Award is not based on athletic ability. Submit to the guidance office by April 1st

Northern Illinois University Outreach will be offering Reading Skills and Speed Reading Programs for Children and Adults this summer in Springfield. The programs are for age 4 through adults. Please stop by guidance for a flyer or call 1-800-979-9151 for more information.


All Academy Night will be held on April 23 in Springfield for students interested in attending one of the five Federal Service Academies, such as the U.S. Air Force, West Point, U.S. Naval, and the U.S. Coast Guard. Interested students and their parents are invited to hear from representatives from each of the academies. Please see the guidance office for more details. You must register no later than April 16.


Architecture Camp at SIU Carbondale will again be offered for middle and high school students in the summer. The award winning camps will introduce young people to the design of the built environment. Enrollment is first come, first served so apply early. Register online at www.dce.siu.edu or pick up an application in the guidance office.


Central Counties Health Centers will be sponsoring is second annual 5k run/walk on April 20 at Washington Park. CCHC provides high-quality, affordable, non-discriminatory and accessible primary medical and dental are that meets the needs of underserved people of Central Illinois. Over 17,000 adults and children are served annually. All funds from this event will go straight to their program of helping the underserved population. Congratulations to the Girls Track Team on a great job at the Charleston HS Indoor Track Meet at EIU on Saturday!

·         Rachel Rhodes earned 3rd place in both High Jump and the 400

·         Tia McCarty made finals in the 55 and the 200 m dash and placed 7th and 8th respectively.

·         Amber Robbs placed 6th in pole vault

·         The 4x400 (Abbey Galusha, Caitlin McCain, Regan Stump, Rachel Rhodes) was 3rd

·         The 4x200 (Abby Bergfeld, Caitlin McCain, Regan Stump, Tia McCarty) was 10th Great job girls!   Practice today outside 3:30-5
