The Williamsville FFA Prime Rib Dinner will be this Saturday March 9th from 4-7PM at Poe's on the Hill. Please attend and support our local chapter.


All FFA members need to be present for the Prime Rib Dinner this Saturday at 3 PM to work. Make sure you are signed up for working the dinner. Please wear your FFA polos to the dinner. Officers need to be in official dress.

General Announcements:


NHS inductees and current members are reminded that the 2013 Induction Ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. Attending the Induction Ceremony is mandatory for all members and inductees, and everyone should report to the choir (Room 110) no later than 5:30 p.m. There will be a reception with cake and punch immediately following the ceremony. Inductees are also reminded that they need to pay their $10 annual membership dues to Mr. Martens no later 3:30 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2013, if they are wanting to be inducted.

Freshmen who have not paid their class dues should do so ASAP to Mrs. Flammini. Class dues are $25 if paid before Spring Break. If paid after Spring Break the dues go up to $30.


The WHS Sports Boosters Outstanding Sportsmanship Scholarship is now open to senior athletes, cheerleaders, and student managers. Applications are available in the Guidance Office or can be downloaded on the guidance webpage. Applicants must have a letter of recommendation from his or her coach. One award will be given to senior male athlete and one senior girl athlete worth $500. Award is not based on athletic ability. Submit to the guidance office by April 1st

Northern Illinois University Outreach will be offering Reading Skills and Speed Reading Programs for Children and Adults this summer in Springfield. The programs are for age 4 through adults. Please stop by guidance for a flyer or call 1-800-979-9151 for more information.


All Academy Night will be held on April 23 in Springfield for students interested in attending one of the five Federal Service Academies, such as the U.S. Air Force, West Point, U.S. Naval, and the U.S. Coast Guard. Interested students and their parents are invited to hear from representatives from each of the academies. Please see the guidance office for more details. You must register no later than April 16.


Architecture Camp at SIU Carbondale will again be offered for middle and high school students in the summer. The award winning camps will introduce young people to the design of the built environment. Enrollment is first come, first served so apply early. Register online at www.dce.siu.edu or pick up an application in the guidance office.


Central Counties Health Centers will be sponsoring is second annual 5k run/walk on April 20 at Washington Park. CCHC provides high-quality, affordable, non-discriminatory and accessible primary medical and dental are that meets the needs of underserved people of Central Illinois. Over 17,000 adults and children are served annually. All funds from this event will go straight to their program of helping the underserved population.
