WHS Special Event License Plates: WHS After-Prom is offering a very unique fundraiser! In cooperation with the Illinois Secretary of State, WHS supporters will have the chance to display our school pride and send out a very important message! We will be able to display these Special Event Plates on our vehicles from March 12th through midnight on May 10th. After that date, these plates are yours to keep! The cost of the plates is $30. Remember a Teen at Christmas: The Teen Gift Drive will take place this week. Please bring unwrapped gifts to your first hour class.
Send a sweet treat with a holiday message to your friends, teachers, or favorite support staff. Candy Canes with a greeting will be sold for $1 each during both lunch shifts this week by S.A.V.E. members. They will be delivered the Thursday of finals week during 5th hour review.
Auditions for the musical will be next week Monday through Wednesday after school. Musical auditions will be Monday and Tuesday while vocal jazz will be Wednesday. Sign-up sheets and scripts will be available in Mr. Hendrickson's room today. For additional information please contact Mr. Williams or Mr. Hendrickson.
WHS Boys Track and Field: Boys interested in track that missed Tuesday's meeting need to see Mr. Rigney before the holiday break.
Study Sessions in the cafeteria after school next week on Tuesday from 3:30-4:30, Wednesday and Thursday 2:30-3:30. We will provide snacks, peer tutors, and there will even be teachers there to provide guidance for final exam preparation. Please sign up for the days that you would like to attend so that we know how much food to bring! Sign- up sheets are on Mrs. Ramirez' door.
Scholarships: The Capital Chapter of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers is again offering scholarships to high school seniors who are enrolled in an engineering program at a college or university. The application deadline is January 21, 2013. More details available in the Guidance Office.
