Lunch: Cheese breadsticks with marinara sauce or Cheese ravioli in marinara sauce, sweetened sliced carrots, sliced pears,Goldfish crackers (sandwiches only), ½ pint of milk

Anyone interested in playing football for the 2013-2014 season should sign up outside Mr. Kunz’s room by the end of the day on Thursday.

2:00pm - Williamsville Band Program Winter Concert:  All are invited to attend the annual winter band concert at 2 PM this Sunday in the WHS db20121127 gym. Performing will be both Junior High bands, the High School Band, and the High School Jazz Band. Come hear a wide variety of music including some of your holiday favorites and support some very talented young musicians!

General Announcements:


The Scholastic Book Fair runs next week, opening at 1 p.m. on Sun., Dec 2, through Friday, Dec 7. Lots of events are planned, and lots of great teen reads will be available.

Want a chance at extra Christmas cash?  Stop by the library where we will be selling chances for two $50 Visa gift cards this week and next. No more than 300 will be sold. Chances are $1 each or, during the Bookfair, free with the purchase of two books (minimum purchase $15.00). Drawing Fri., Dec 2, at 8 p.m.

Breakfast with Books on Wednesday, Dec. 5, and Fri., Dec. 7. Shop in a coffee shop atmosphere. Spend $7 or more at the Bookfair and get a $1 coupon for breakfast treats.

Think Secret Santa for your reading friends or silly stocking stuffers -- we'll wrap and Santa or one of his special elves will deliver by Fri., Dec. 14. Buy a book for the Teen Gift Drive for Contact Ministries -- your gift counts toward the coupon and raffle chances listed above.  Bring in a canned food for the food drive and get $1 off on a $7 or more purchase.


For anyone needing community service hours, the Sherman United Methodist Church is sponsoring “One Night in Bethlehem” on Saturday, December 15, 2012, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. They are looking for volunteers to dress up as residents of Bethlehem to help participants through the town. They might also be assisting with crafts for kids or keeping the peace as Roman soldiers. Volunteers would be needed from 4:00-8:30 p.m. Please see Mr. Martens for further details.


For anyone needing community service hours, the Sports Boosters are looking for volunteers to sell 50/50 raffle tickets for the Friday night boys’ basketball games on December 7 and 14, 2012, and February 15, 2013. Volunteers will be needed from 6:00 p.m. until shortly after the varsity game begins. If anyone is interested, please see Mr. Martens.


UIS Area High School Art Exhibition: Congratulations to the following students: Dan Heidorn, Andrew Sapochak, Courtney Trueblood, Rebecca Williamson, Tea Landsverk, Elizabeth Downey, and Gabrielle Menard!  Their art work was chosen for the UIS Area High School Art Exhibition, It will be held in the Access Gallery from Nov. 15 - 29, 2012. The Exhibition Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony will be held November 29, 6:00pm (refreshments provided). 


FCA Shopping Trip for Inner City Mission has been moved to December 9th at 6:00 pm. Permission slips are due by December 7th to Mr. Ibbotson.


Sports Boosters will be having their annual Christmas clothing sale Saturday Dec 8th from 9am.-1pm. at the Sherman Athletic club. This will be the last sale before the holidays. Prime Rib Dinner dance tickets are also available for Feb 23rd. We also have Gift Certificates.
