General Announcements:

 

October 22nd - 26th Diaper Drive: the Williamsville FCCLA will be sponsoring a diaper drive to help the Mini O' Beirne Crisis Nursery. The 6th hour class to bring in the most diapers will receive an ice cream cake!

 

Girls and Boys Golf - The awards night for girl's and boy's golf will be held in the high school cafeteria on Monday, October 29th and 6pm. Please turn in your issued golf bags that night.

 

IEC Memorial Scholarship: To apply the applicant must be the son or daughter of an electric cooperative employee or director in Illinois and is receiving service from the cooperative at the time the scholarship application is submitted. Please see the guidance office for more requirements and guidelines. Deadline to apply is December 31st.

 

For anyone needing community service hours, Sherman Elementary School is hosting their Scholastic Book Fair in conjunction with Parent-Teacher Conferences, and they need volunteers to work two- or three-hour shifts on the following dates: Wednesday, November 74:00-7:00 p.m.; Thursday, November 84:00-6:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m.; and Friday, November 98:00-10:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m.-12:00 (noon), 12:00-2:00 p.m., and 2:00-4:00 p.m. If anyone is interested, please see Mr. Martens.

 

Mini O'Beirne Crisis Nursery is looking for dependable volunteers for their upcoming Holiday Store. Volunteers can sign up for shifts for the following hours Tuesday-Friday 4-8pm, Saturday 10-5:30 or Sunday 12-5pm. Please stop by the guidance office for more information or you can call 525-6800 to schedule your time slot.

 

Computer Usage Agreements need to be turned in to the office ASAP!

 

J/V Scholastic Bowl sign-up this week in the library. Please remember to pick up the informational letter, along with signing up. Tryouts are Monday, October 29, and Tuesday, October 30, after school. Please see Mrs. Letterly if you cannot make either of those dates.

 

Freshman/Sophomore Yoga and Relaxation Group-Relief Stress, lose weight, improve sleep, enhance focus, and most of all RELAX! Sign up for the group in the guidance office. Groups will begin November 7 at 3:30pm. If you have any questions come see Ms. McPherson in guidance.

 

Reminder to juniors/seniors: There are still spots available in the Thursday afternoon Yoga & Relaxation Group. Sign up outside Mrs. Ramirez's door. Group starts this Thursday! Please see Ms. McPherson in guidance if you have questions.
