Interested in a career in health care? If so, you are invited to attend a "First Nighter" on Monday, September 24 at 6pm at Memorial Medical Center. The cost to register for the program is $15 and will give explorers the chance to interact with health care professionals and see the miracles of modern medicine up close. If you chose to join you will get tons of hands-on experience, meet new friends and build your resume for college. Stop by the guidance office for more details.

 

Glenwood High School would like to invite all WHS students to their annual snowball on Saturday Nov 3rd from 7 am - 10:30 pm. If you would like to participate as a staff member, applications are due October 5th and there will be a mandatory Staff Training October 21st from 1-3 p.m. at GHS. All other participants should complete forms by October 12th.

 

Feeling Stressed?? Coming soon, Yoga and Relaxation group. The group is open to all students and will meet after school on Thursday for 30 minutes beginning October 25th. Sign up if you are interested. Space is limited to sign up early. More details will be coming. Any questions, please see Mrs. Chladny.

 

ITT Technical Open House in Springfield: Saturday, October 13, come tour building, learn about potential career options and enjoy refreshments. Stop by guidance for more information.

Actuarial Career Fairs: Do you enjoy math and like to be challenged? If so, you might have what it takes to be an actuary. Please see the guidance office or the flyer in the library if you are interested in attending an upcoming actuarial career fair to learn more about this potential career!

 

Seniors: Jostens will be back on Tuesday, 9/25, during lunch to collect graduation orders. $60 deposit is required with your order. Extra order packets are available in the office. If you have any questions, Jostens can be reached at 217-483-8989.

 

Grace period is over for no-card students in the lunch room! Starting today, if you do not have your lunch card, you must wait until the end of the line. If you get in line too early, you will stand beside Mrs. Allen and wait with your food until the end of the line. No more exceptions!

 

Congrats Volleyball! - The win over the Lady Cavaliers from Carlinville puts the Lady Bullets current record to 15-3. Come out and support the Lady Bullets as they host the Sangamon County Tournament Saturday and Monday. The Lady Bullets play at 12:00pm on Saturday.
