HS Girls Varsity Volleyball at Mt. Pulaski Tournament – Bus leaves 4:30 PM

Girls Softball Meeting – 8:05 AM – Girls interested in trying out for softball and not in a fall sport, should meet by in the hallway by the girls locker room at 8:05 on Friday.

11:30am - Sophomores/Jostens will be back during lunch hours to take class ring orders.  Bring $60 deposit and completed orders forms.  Extra packets are in the office for those sophomores that missed the meeting.

4:00pm - Girls Golf @ Sacred Heart - Griffin High School (Piper Glen)– Van leaves 3:00, Dismiss at 2:50

4:00pm - Boys Golf @ Greenview High School (JV Only) – Van leaves 3:00, Dismiss at 2:50

General Announcements:


The class of 2014 will be selling lottery tickets to help support the 2013 After-Prom activities.  Tickets are eligible for all 61 days of November and December and there is a possibility of winning more than once. Junior class parents are encouraged to pick up tickets to sell.  You may contact Lisa Konzelmann at 638-5765 or a Junior class officer to pick  them up.  Thank you for your support.


Order forms for Chamber and Homecoming Shirts are in the office. The deadline for ordering is September 18.  Mrs. Walsh will be in the gym before school Monday to collect Chamber and Homecoming shirts orders. Deadline for ordering is Tuesday, end of school.


Anyone who still wants to sign up for Youth and Government, please see Ms. Faloon-Sullivan ASAP. Registration forms and first payment are Wednesday, Sept. 12. All forms are available on my school webpage. Also, each bill group needs to sign up to meet with Ms. Faloon-Sullivan next week to select a bill topic and fill out a bill title form. Sign-up for a time outside Room 101.


Yearbooks are In – Siblings of graduates may pick up yearbooks and graduation pictures for their brothers and sisters after school or at lunch in the office.


Mr. Gudwien & the yearbook class will be selling yearbooks to any student who did not purchase one last year and wants to buy one.  The cost is $55.  They may only be purchased from Mr. Gudwien.  They will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis.


An earlybird yearbook sale for the 2012-2013 yearbook will begin next week during both lunch shifts.  Students who purchase a yearbook during this time will get their named embossed on their yearbook for free.  Cost is $55.


Interested in a career in health care? If so, you are invited to attend a "First Nighter" on Monday, September 24 at 6pm at Memorial Medical Center. The cost to register for the program is $15 and will give explorers the chance to interact with health care professionals and see the miracles of modern medicine up close. If you chose to join you will get tons of hands-on experience, meet new friends and build your resume for college. Stop by the guidance office for more details.


Congratulations to the Freshmen Football team on their 6 to 0 overtime victory over Pleasant Plains last night. Practice today till 5PM.
