Lunch: Sliced beef & Cheddar sandwich or Maid Rite sandwich, soft pretzel, baked potato, seasoned broccoli, diced peaches, pint of milk


The S.A.V.E. Club will have its kick-off meeting on Wednesday. Pick one to come to either 7:30 in the morning or 3:16 in the afternoon. Both meetings will be the same. We will have officer nominations and start planning for upcoming events.

         ALL Y&G student members, please meet at 7:00 p.m. in Room 101 to finalize roles and bill groups and nominate officers for the local group.

General Announcements:


No School Monday, September 3 Labor Day


Mr. Williams will be conducting auditions for the fall play this week on Wednesday after school. If necessary, he will conduct some Friday after school. Please stop by room 212 for a monologue that will be read during auditions at any point this week and to sign up for a time slot. If you are unable to audition on Wednesday or Friday please make different arrangements with Mr. Williams in room 212.


Seniors interested in running for class officer, please sign up in the office. The election will be Friday.


Student Drivers: Remember to give school busses the right of way as they enter and leave school property.


The Lady Bullets lose their volleyball season opener to the Toppers of Mt. Pulaski 23-25, 19-25. The Lady Bullets are at home on Thursday, August 30th against Pleasant Plains.


Congratulations to the boys golf team score of 160 which helped defeat Riverton-169, Lutheran-186 and Auburn-169. Curtis Clark was medalist with a 36 followed by Marty Pesch's score of 37. WHS record is 5-2.


Kids Place is currently seeking babysitting teens who would like to add their names to our sitter list. A list of names and phone numbers will be compiled to a list for parents who use the list to find sitters for their children during the week and/or weekend. If you would like to be included, please email Carmen Arnberger, Director of Sherman United Methodist Church Kids Place after-school program at carmen@sumckidsplace.com. She will need your name, age or grade in school, and a contact number. Names will be compiled for the next 2 weeks and a new list will be posted by Sept. 15th.
