NHS New Inductees - $10 dues must be paid by Friday to Mr. Martens if you are planning to go through the Induction Ceremony

General Announcements:

 

Junior Class Officers – Mark your calendars - Jostens would like to meet with Junior class officers at 10:00 AM on March 16.  Please meet in the high school office.

 

The 45th New Berlin Art Fair will be held Saturday, March 17, 8:00am - 12:00pm; Sunday March 18, 1:00-5:00pm;Monday, March19, 9:00-2:30pm. The exhibition is open to the public at the Sangamon County Fairgrounds. This is one of the best art show of junior and high school art students from the region. Upward to thirty or more junior and senior high schools participate.

 

The next Williamsville vocal music boosters meeting will be Monday, March 12 at 6:30 pm in the high school teachers' workroom. Hope you can join us!

 

It's time to order your Butter Braids and Cookie Dough!!  Contact a High School Choir member or Leanne Smith (553-1804) to place your order.  Orders will be available for pick-up/delivery on March 28th.

 

After Prom will be selling tickets for $10 per person and a waiver must be filled out by a parent on March 28, 29, and 30. The $10 fee must be accompanied with the waiver. No exceptions.  You can pick up the waiver before the signup days in the office starting March 19th.

 

Y&G Members: please get your second payment and your signature form confirming that your parents received the Final Weekend Memo turned in ASAP.

Public Speaking contest at New Berlin: Evan Weyant competed in varsity extemporaneous speech and Kayle Gibson / Brianna Parada in Creed speaking.

 

Meats contest at Jones Meat Locker in Jacksonville: 4th place team of Catherine Wittler, Blake Cremeens, Joe Ellis, and Brianna Parada. Catherine Wittler placed 10th as an individual.

Kids Place in Sherman is looking for teens who babysit either on weekends or perhaps even for a job through the summer.  Kids Place will post the list of babysitting resources for parents of the students at Kids Place.  If anyone is interested please call or email Carmen Arnberger, Director of SUMC Kids Place at 496-2338 ext. 8 or email at carmen@sumckidsplace.com.   She will need your name and contact info which will be posted on our parent bulletin board.  There have been numerous requests for this list so chances for jobs are high.
