5:30 PM - FFA is hosting the Section 14 Agronomy Contest and Agribusiness Fair – 4:30 Registration, Workers and contestants report at 4:00 PM in Ag room

Thursday, November 17:

 

Lunch:  Toasted cheese sandwich or taco quesadillas, chicken fajita soup, fresh fruit, cheddar Goldfish, ½ pint of milk

7:30 AM - Prom Meeting Thursday at 7:30 in Mrs. Whitten's room.

 

Madrigals - TV 20 Taping:  Students will miss 1st-3rd hour classes.

Youth and Government:  Meeting for all members Sunday, Nov. 20 at 2:00 p.m. Fannie May candy will be here next week- there was a delay in processing. Please get Butter Braid money turned in ASAP.

General Announcements:


 

WHS Choir Students are selling cheesecakes.  Please see a choir student to order.  Proceeds will help support the WHS vocal music program as well as help with the costs of our June 2012 trip to Disney World.  Orders will be taken through Monday, Nov. 28.  Delivery is Dec. 8.

2011 UIS High School Art Exhibition - Congratulations to Robert Konzelmann for winning Best of Show, at the 2011 UIS High School Art Exhibition. This exhibition is a showcase of area high school artwork and will be on display at the UIS Access Gallery through November 18, 2011. Also, congratulations to Dan Heidorn,  Russell Konzelmann, Amber Robbs, Brianna Skeels, Sephra Urbas, Tiffany Ushman whose art was selected for the show.

 

Girls Soccer:  Candles are in you can pick them up at the JH from Coach Fandel.

 

Raffle tickets are being sold during both lunch shifts for the two Barnes & Noble Nooks - student tickets are $3.00 each or 5 for $12.00.  Don't miss out on a chance of winning a Nook tablet.

 

Sports Boosters’ FB Playoff Shirt Orders – If you ordered a playoff shirt and didn’t pick it up on Saturday, please pick them up in the office.  Payment is due at this time.

Attention Seniors: Do you plan to become a teacher? If so, please see the Guidance Department about an opportunity to be nominated for the Golden Apple Scholars Program. This includes scholarship money, paid summer internships, mentoring, Golden Apple summer institutes, and job placement assistance. Nominations have been extended through Friday, November 18th. Students can self-nominate.
