Girls Basketball Parent-Athlete Meeting - There will be a mandatory parent-player meeting for those girls interested in trying out for girls basketball and their parents, held on Wednesday, October 26th at 6 pm in the library at Williamsville High School.


Red Ribbon Week - "Be the Hero Others Need to Stay Drug Free." Dress as an everyday hero or superhero.


Thursday, October 27:


Lunch:  Toasted cheese sandwich or Taco quesadillas, chicken fajita soup, fresh fruit, cheddar Goldfish, ½ pint of milk


Red Ribbon Week - “Don’t let drugs take away your future.” Dress in Futuristic Clothes or a Career Outfit.

Friday, October 28:


Lunch:  Turkey & cheese wrap/Lettuce salad or Chicken tender lettuce salad, mandarin oranges, animal crackers, ½ pint of milk

7:00 PM - Varsity Football – Playoffs – WHS vs. Gillespie –(H) – Admission $5 per person- No passes accepted


FB Concessions - G Newton, Redpath, Lockhart, McGraw,. Please be there at 5:30. We are looking for more volunteers if anyone would like to help.

Back to the 80’s – WHS musical at the District Fine Arts Center – 7:00 PM – High School Activity Passes are accepted

General Announcements:


St. John's College Open House: To learn more about St. John's nursing program please attend on Monday, October 24, 2011 from 4-6pm. Reservations can be made by calling 525-5628. Please check the orange flyers in the guidance office for more details.


There is still time to order Butter Braids, frozen Cookie Dough, and Fannie May Candy! Please see a Youth and Government student or Ms. Faloon-Sullivan if you want to order.  A half-pound box of Fannie May is only $11, which is $3 less than the retail cost. 


Volleyball Fan Bus:  If you would like to ride the volleyball fan bus to the regional championship next Thursday, October 27, please sign up in the office.  The cost to ride the fan bus is $5 and must be paid in advance.  The bus will leave at 5:20 PM.  We need at least 40 students to sign up.

For anyone needing community service hours, volunteers are being sought to assist with the Sherman Holiday Wonderland, which will be hosted at the Sherman Athletic Club on Sunday, November 20th.  Proceeds from the Sherman Holiday Wonderland are put toward the Sharon Miller Scholarship.  Volunteers will be needed on Saturday, November 19th setting up tables from 7:00-8:00 p.m. and on Sunday, November 20th, helping venders unload from 7:00-9:00 a.m. and again helping clean-up (sweep and put the tables and chairs away) after the event from 3:45-4:45 p.m.  If anyone is interested, please see Mr. Martens.


Congratulations to the girls cross country team on qualifying for the Elmwood Sectional next Saturday!  Noah Horton also qualified for the meet as the third individual.  The girls team was led by Sandra Brzezicha in 21st place.  Sandra was followed by Halston Fletcher, Katie Siders, Emily Chesser, Sara Nilsson and Abbi Penk.  Noah Horton led the boys team with a 25th place.  Noah was followed by Mitch Owens, Peter Laudeman and Taylor Moore.  Great job Saturday!
