Youth & Government Legislators: Each Bill Group please schedule a time to meet with Ms. Faloon-Sullivan to write your bill.  Press: Several of you have not turned in press applications or story ideas to Mr. Gudwien. The forms are on Edmodo and Ms. Faloon-Sullivan's website.

 

Rehearsal schedules are available for next week.  They can be picked up outside of Mr. Martens' classroom.  Remember those of you who need to be fitted for tuxedos that you are meeting Mrs. Warren at the Hoogland Center at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Friday night is also “Paint the Field Pink” night in honor of breast cancer awareness month.  Wear pink to the game and ticket proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.  Sports boosters will be selling popcorn in pink megaphones.  Breast cancer survivors will be honored at half time.

Boys & Girls State Golf Tournament Continues

 

Crew will be working this weekend.  We will be setting up sound and lights and doing a little painting on Saturday starting at 4:00 p.m.  We will finish the painting and the setting up of lights on Sunday starting at 11:00 a.m.

General Announcements:

 

For anyone needing community service hours, Sherman Elementary School is hosting their Scholastic Book Fair in conjunction with SES Parent-Teacher Conferences, and they need volunteers to work two- or three-hour shifts on the following dates:  Tuesday, November 8th—4:00-7:00 p.m.; Wednesday, November 9th—4:00-6:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m.; and Thursday, November 10th—8:00-10:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m.-12:00 (noon), 12:00-2:00 p.m., and 2:00-4:00 p.m.  If anyone is interested, please see Mr. Martens.

Boys Basketball Parent-Athlete Meeting- October 25 at 6:30 in the Main Gym

Girls basketball open gym will be held at 3:30 next Wednesday and Thursday.

 

Girls basketball players that sized for basketball shoes need to bring in their money for their shoes before they can receive them.

 

The Varsity Lady Bullets won an exceptional match over the Senators from Springfield High last night.  The enthusiasm from the crowd was a huge push in this amazing victory. The JV Lady Bullets lost in two sets to the Senators.  Senior Night is Tuesday, October 18 against New Berlin.

 

Congratulations to the Freshman Football team on their victory over Pawnee last night!

 

Congratulations to Drew Kluemke – September Student of the Month!

 

Congratulations to the FFA Land Use Judging Team for winning 1st place out of 9 teams. Team members were Jen-Luc Abeln, Becca Davis, Rachael Pine, Evan Weyant, Harley Yoder, Alec Morgan, and Austin Sloan. Jen-Luc Abeln and Becca Davis placed in the top 10 individuals. Jen-Luc Abeln 1st place and Becca Davis 3rd. Thanks to Billy Womack, Elaine Warnisher, and Blake Cremeens for helping during and after the contest.
