Capital Area Career Fair - All Juniors & Some Seniors – Teachers have been given a list of those attending.  If students have not turned in their field trip form, they will not be allowed to attend.  Students attending should remember to bring your worksheets.


There will be a short FCCLA meeting in Mrs. LaFrance's room Wednesday after school. 


No Scholastic Bowl Practice


SAVE will have a snowflurry meeting after school for members attending snowflurry Bring your activity that you would like to do with your group. Members that want to participate in the video for parent-teacher conference meet today after school in Mrs. Lorton's room.


SAVE Members – meet by the bus barn at 6:00 to work at the car smash


If your car is parked in the student lot – all cars must be moved out of the student lot after school today to accommodate the parade line-up.


The Homecoming Parade will take place that night at 6:00 with the pep rally, coronation and powderpuff to follow.

Homecoming Dance - 7:30 - 11:00 PM –A Night Out of this World!  Announcement of court will be at 10:45.  Spectators will be allowed into the dance at that time.

Juniors – After Prom Blitz – Meet at Hayley Long’s house at 1:00 PM to get started


General Announcements:


WHS Parent-Teacher Conferences – October 6th & 7th.  Appointments are being taken by calling the WHS Office, 566-3361.  When calling, please have the list handy of the teachers you would like to see.  Appointments will be made in ten minute increments on October 6th from 5:00-8:00 PM and on October 7th from 8:00-Noon, 1:00-4:00 PM.


For anyone needing community service hours, Williamsville Junior High School is hosting their Scholastic Book Fair in conjunction with Parent-Teacher Conferences, and they need volunteers to work on the following dates:  Thursday, October 6, 2011—5:00-8:00 p.m.; Friday, October 7, 2011—8:00-12:00 noon; and Friday, October 7, 2011—12:00-4:00 p.m.  If anyone is interested, please see Mr. Martens.

Congratulations to Lady Bullets Volleyball!  The JV improved to 13-3 after their win against Tri-City and the Varsity improved to 20-4 after their win over the Tornadoes.


Congratulations to the boys golf team on advancing to Sectionals next Monday at Monmouth Gibson Woods.  A special congrats goes to Curtis Clark for finishing runner up with a score of 76. Reece Whitley carded an 80, Marty Pesch- 86, and Nathan Cox-95. Way to go!


Homecoming Picture Forms are available in the office.  The photographer will only be at the dance until 9:00 PM if you are interested in formal pictures.


Reminder to those juniors signed up to take the PSAT: Report to the cafeteria by 8:00am on Wednesday, October 12th. Please bring No. 2 pencils and a calculator. Please see Mrs. Chladny prior to test day if you do not have a calculator.


Attention students interested in a future Operating Engineers Apprenticeship-Operating Engineers Local 965 accepts applications each year November 1 through December 30. More information is available in the guidance office.
