The WHS Cheerleaders and Coaches would like to thank all the girls and parents that participated in the 2011 Little Girls Camp Fundraiser for the WHS Cheerleaders. We had an excellent turnout!  We’d like to remind those that would like to perform this Friday (Sept 16th) with the cheerleaders to please meet the cheerleaders behind the press box at 6:30pm for a quick run through. We ask that the parents stay with their children at this time and bring them back to the track at the beginning of the 2nd quarter where they will cheer with the cheerleaders for the entire quarter until the halftime performance. After the halftime performance the parents can pick their child up on the track by the scoreboard. The DVD’s that were ordered at this years’ camp will have halftime performance on it and will be delivered to the Elementary once they are complete. Please see contact Sally Keenan for any questions you might have regarding the camp (217-836-6061)

On Monday the cross country team competed at the Franklin Fr/So Invite. Noah Horton came in first in the freshmen boys race and Peter Laudeman came in 6th.  In the girls, Fr/So race Halston Fletcher came in 5th and Katie Siders placed 7th.  The cross country team will compete at the Dunlap Invite on Saturday.

Congratulations to the varsity volleyball team on their win last night over Porta in two sets!  The Lady Bullets record is now 9-1.  The JV volleyball team also won in a three set match.

Yearbooks for 2010-2011 graduates can be picked up from Mr. Gudwien this week.  Siblings of graduates can pick them from Mr. Gudwien as well.  We will be only giving graduates’ yearbooks to siblings.  If graduates want someone else to take their yearbooks for them, they can email Mr. Gudwien (gudwienm@wcusd15.org) or call the office.

Students who did not order a 2010-2011 yearbook but would like to purchase one can do so by seeing Mr. Gudwien.  The price is $55.  Checks should be made out to WHS.

The yearbook class will be taking orders for the 2011-2012 yearbooks during lunch shifts on Thursday, Friday, and Monday.  The cost of the 2011-2012 book is $55.  Students who purchase their books during this in-school sale will have their names embossed on their books for free.  Students who do not purchase during this school sale will have the opportunity to order a yearbook later in the year from Jostens.  Also during this sale, students will be able to purchase yearbooks from the 2009, 2010, and 2011 school years.  Cost for these books is also $55.

The following students have not turned in a Computer Usage/Field Trip/Handbook form.  To continue using WHS computers or attend field trips, we must receive this form ASAP.  Extra copies are in the office you need a new one.
