Auditions for Back to the 80’s - Anyone who signed up for auditions, remember they are being held in Mr. Martens’ room (Room 100).  Please be prompt for your scheduled audition.  Auditions will be closed.  You will be expected to read from various scenes in the script and sing a song of your choice.  Good luck to all!

Student Council Meeting Tuesday, August 30, 7:30 AM Mrs. Walsh's room.

 

WCUSD #15 Band Boosters will hold their first meeting of the year on Tuesday, August 30th at 7:00 p.m. in the High School Band room.  This meeting will serve as a "Meet and Greet" with our new Band Director, Mr. Kyle Muskopf, new officers will be elected, band activities and fundraisers will be discussed, and the NEW Band T-shirts will be in and available for picked up.

 

Wednesday, August 31:

 

Lunch:  Chili cheese wrap or Teriyaki chicken, wheat dinner roll, lettuce salad, fruit yogurt parfait, ½ pint of milk

After Prom meeting Aug 31st at 7:00 for all Juniors and their parents in the High School teachers’ workroom.  This is a big event that will need a lot of volunteers so we can have a fun and safe after prom.  Please join us – everyone’s input is needed & welcome. General Announcements:

 

Freshmen – Please pay class dues of $20 by October 1, 2011.  Dues can be given to Mr. Martens, Mr. Beard, Mrs. Root, or Mrs. Whitten.  Class dues are collected yearly and saved for future use to pay for Junior Prom and Senior Trip. 

 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!  WCUSD #15 will be holding two Bike Rodeos (bicycle safety course) in September and volunteers are needed.  The 1st Bike Rodeo will be held in Williamsville on Saturday, September 10th from 3 - 6 pm. at the old Williamsville Christian Church site.  The 2nd Bike Rodeo will be held at Sherman Elementary, on Saturday, September 24th from 2 - 5 p.m.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Sandy Walden as soon as possible at 544-3234 or sandy.walden@wcusd15.org  A letter of service hours will be provided upon request. 

 

Volunteers needed for Saddle Up!  Saddle Up is United Cerebral Palsy Land of Lincoln therapeutic horseback riding program for children with disabilities. Training for volunteers will be Tuesday, August 30 from 5pm-7pm. For more details, please stop by the guidance office and see Mrs. Damery. This is a great an opportunity to get hands on experience, volunteer service hours, meet new people & have fun! 

 

Youth & Government New Parent Meeting:  Tues., Aug. 30, 6:00-7:00 p.m. in Room 101. Parents of returning Y&G members please arrive at 6:30 p.m.

 

Youth and Government Student Organizational Meeting: Wed., Aug. 31, 6:30-7:30 p.m. in Room 101. We will be choosing roles and bill groups.

 

Sophomore Class:  Nominations are being taken in the office for Class President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer through Wednesday, August 31.  Voting will take place in English Friday, September 2.  Pay your class dues of $20 asap to any of your sponsors.  If you have any questions, see Mrs. Walsh

 

Chamber design ideas need to be turned in to Mrs. Walsh by Wednesday, August 31. 

 

Job Opportunity:  A senior citizen in the Williamsville area is looking for a before school morning helper on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday mornings.  It is about an hour each morning to help her get up and ready for the day.  Please see Mrs. Damery or Mrs Ramirez in the Guidance Office if you are interested.

Congratulations to the boys golf team on finishing third place out 16 teams at the Greenview Invite. Curtis Clark shot a 76 and was co medalist. Marty Pesch had a 86, Jake Luker carded an 87, with Reece Whitley

 

Congratulations to the varsity football team on their win Friday over Bunker Hill!

 

Congratulations to the Freshmen-Sophomore football team who won the New Berlin FS Football Jamboree on Saturday!  They went undefeated and unscored upon to win the eight school tournament.

 

S.A.V.E. members-

1.  Please sign up for club officer positions in the office. There are criteria so please read the information on the nomination form which is on the front desk in the office.

 

2.  Please pay your $10.00 dues by next Friday to Mrs. Lorton and place your order for a SAVE t-shirt which costs $10.00.

 

3.  Sign up in Mrs. Lorton's room to volunteer for the bike rodeo scheduled September 10.

 

Senior class officer nominations forms are in the office on the front desk. Please have all nominations completed by Friday. Voting will be Monday in English.

 

This years homecoming theme is HOMETOWN HEROES..Anyone that has served in the Armed Forces is welcome to walk in the Homecoming parade as our Grand Marshalls.  For questions, please call Sports Booster members - Juli Stoecker 341-3416 or Amy Capranica 415-7514.  Also, any group or organization is welcome to make a float.  The best float wins a Pizza Party from SAMS TOO.  Sports Boosters will pay up to $100.00 in float suppllies for all class floats as long as you have receipts
