Freshmen – Please pay class dues of $20 by October 1, 2011. Dues can be given to Mr. Martens, Mr. Beard, Mrs. Root, or Mrs. Whitten. Class dues are collected yearly and saved for future use to pay for Junior Prom and Senior Trip.
Also, sign up to run for Freshman class office on Wednesday, August 24. The sign up sheet is on the counter in the office. Class offices consist of President, Vice President, and Secretary. Any student interested in running must sign up no later than 3:30 PM on Friday, August 26, 2011. Elections will be held on Tuesday, August 30 during English classes. A 2.75 non-weighted GPA is a prerequisite for running for class office.
Show your school spirit at the football game Friday, August 26. Amanda Tabit, a licensed cosmetologist, will be selling feathers for your hair. Purple & gold (& other colors) are available. Cost is $12 for one feather, $20 for 2 feathers.
Any girls not currently in a fall sport, the cross country team is looking for more girls to join the team by the end of the week. See Melaney Brown or Halston Fletcher if you are interested.
This fall the Drama Program at Williamsville High School will be performing “Back to the 80’s,” a musical from the era of the Rubrik’s Cube, Max Headroom, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the style of Back to the Future, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, The Karate Kid and The Wedding Singer. Auditions for this year’s musical production will be held on Thursday, August 25, and Monday, August 29, in Mr. Martens’ room (Room 100). Anyone interested in auditioning for the show needs to sign-up by 3:30 p.m. on Monday, August 30. The production will take place on Saturday, October 29, at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 30, at 2:00 p.m. Rehearsals will begin Tuesday, August 30, and will be held Monday through Friday after school and/or in the evenings and may also include some Saturdays. In addition to the cast for “Back to the 80’s,” we are also looking for responsible people for the following assignments: Student Director, Stage Manager, Student Choreographer and/or Dance Captain(s), Student Costumer(s), and Scenic Painter(s). CALLING ALL BAND PARENTS!!! WCUSD #15 Band Boosters will hold their first meeting of the year on Tuesday, August 30th at 7:00 p.m. in the High School Band room. This meeting will serve as a "Meet and Greet" with our new Band Director, Mr. Kyle Muskopf, new officers will be elected, band activities and fundraisers will be discussed, and the NEW Band T-shirts will be in and available for picked up.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!! WCUSD #15 will be holding two Bike Rodeos (bicycle safety course) in September and volunteers are needed. The 1st Bike Rodeo will be held in Williamsville on Saturday, September 10th from 3 - 6 pm. at the old Williamsville Christian Church site. Volunteers needed for Saddle Up! Saddle Up is United Cerebral Palsy Land of Lincoln therapeutic horseback riding program for children with disabilities. Training for volunteers will be Tuesday, August 30 from 5pm-7pm. For more details, please stop by the guidance office and see Mrs. Damery. This is a great an opportunity to get hands on experience, volunteer service hours, meet new people & have fun!

A senior citizen in the Williamsville area is looking for a before school morning helper on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday mornings. It is about an hour each morning to help her get up and ready for the day. Please see Mrs. Damery or Mrs Ramirez in the Guidance Office if you are interested.
After Prom meeting Aug 31st at 7:00 for all Juniors and their parents in the High School teachers’ workroom. Boys golf team defeated Tri-Valley-192, but lost to Maroa-173 in a tie breaking method by using 5 scores. The five scores were Curtis Clark-39, Marty Pesch-42, Jake Luker-48, Reece Whitley-44, Sam Lochmann-48. Bullets play in the Greenview invite this Saturday against a 13 team tournament.
Congratulations to the girls golf team on a well played match last night in Rushville. The Lady Bullets got two wins over West Hancock and Rushville Industry and lost to a strong Quincy Notre Dame team. Lexie Emerson's score of 39 earned her medalist honors. Jordan Oshesky also played well, turning in a 43.
This years homecoming theme is HOMETOWN HEROES..Anyone that has served in the Armed Forces is welcome to walk in the Homecoming parade as our Grand Marshalls. The best float wins a Pizza Party from SAMS TOO. Sports Boosters will pay up to $100.00 in float suppllies for all class floats as long as you have receipts.
