The annual Williamsville FFA Banquet will be held in the high school cafeteria this Friday May 6th at 6:30 PM. FFA members need to wear FFA polos and bring a dessert fro the dinner. FFA officers and members need to be at the school by 5:30 PM to set up for the banquet. Please plan to attend as we want a good attendance this year.

The event will be held in the WHS Band Room/Cafeteria. Come and enjoy an evening of great music along with a dessert buffet & coffee bar. High School Boys Basketball: All U of I Team Camp forms need to be turned in by May 11. Please turn in the Bullet Basketball Camp forms as soon as possible as well. Both forms should be turned into Coach Graven
Congratulations to the boys' track and field team on their recent successes. Last Friday the freshman-sophomore team won the Sangamon County fresh-soph meet, on Saturday the varsity team placed fourth at the Carlinville Invite (17 teams), and last night the varsity team took third place in the Sangamo Conference meet (10 teams).

Tying for first state-wide was the Eugene Osman Project, which was completed by Bo Bennett, Gabe Manning, and Alec Stephens.
Out of the six honorable mention projects, Williamsville won four of the prizes. The honorable mention winners were:
1. Vincent Speranze Project, which was completed by Elizabeth Choat, Kaitlin Lounsberry, and Savannah Sanner
2. Maurice Stewart Project, which was completed by Sam Pensabene, Paul Priester, and J.J. Watson
3. Bill Ortgessen Project, which was completed by Frannie Buescher, Abby Clark, and Abbey Stier
4. Tony Leonetti Project, which was completed by Anna Butterfield, Lexie Emerson, and Kate Fowler.
Williamsville received one of the "Second-Tier" recognitions, which were for those projects that made the cut in the first round to be considered for one of the nine top prizes but that did not win one of those prizes. The Harold Flinn Project, completed by Melaney Brown, Laura Kilbury, and Kathryn Spenn, was recognized among those "Second-Tier" Prize honorees.
