Youth and Government: Please take all luggage, backpacks, purses, and jackets to the cafeteria when you arrive Friday morning.  You will attend first hour, and you may get your things and load them on the bus after the bell rings.


Art students who want to participate in the New Berlin Art Show see Mrs Strack by Friday March 18. The 44th New Berlin Art Fair Saturday, will be held March 26, 11am-4pm and Sunday 12-5pm, Monday 9:00am- 2pm, at the Sangamon County Fair Grounds.

The School of Polytechnic Studies at Southeast Missouri State University is hosting an Open House Saturday, March 26, 2011 from 1:30-3pm. This is in conjunction with a Show Me Day to showcase the entire University. If you are interested please come to guidance for information on how to register or visit www.semo.edu/admissions/specialevent.htm.


SIU School of Engineering will offer a 5-day High School Outreach Program in summer 2011 to introduce high school freshman, sophomores, and juniors to various fields of engineering as potential career choices. This is a residential program. Applications can be downloaded at www.siue.edu/engineering/hso.shtml and brochures can be picked up in the guidance office. Deadline for receipt of application forms is Friday, April 22, 2011.


Reading Skills and Speed Reading Programs for Children and Adults offered this summer in Springfield. These programs will transform your reading skills. For more information or to register call 1-800-978-9596. Flyers are available in guidance office.


There will be no Art Club Tuesday March 22.


After Prom tickets will go on sale during the lunch periods the week of March 28th!  $5 per ticket.  Waivers must be completed and turned in before purchasing a ticket.  Blank waiver forms are available in the WHS office.  Buy your ticket during the week of March 28th to ensure you get a free souvenir t-shirt!

March 30th – Boys Basketball Banquet - 6:30 PM – All players and cheerleaders planning to attend need to sign up with Coach Graven.


Please place yellow soda caps with the 5 cent logo in the bucket located in the cafeteria.  These caps will help generate money for our school!
