Wednesday, February 16:


Lunch:  BBQ chicken sandwich or Hot dog in bun, sweet baked beans, pineapple chunks, whole grain animal cookies, ½ pint of milk


OTSD members, the Wednesday morning activity has been changed to Thursday morning at 7:45 a.m.


Scholastic Bowl practice:  3:30-4:30


Boys track and field practice begins Wed, Feb 16th (3:30 - 5:30).  Athletes need to make sure all the necessary paper work has been signed and turned into the office. 


Incoming Freshmen - Family Orientation Night will be at 6pm in the WHS gym


FCCLA will meet Wednesday after school to vote for Dance Court.  If you cannot attend, see Mrs. Wachter.


Thursday, February 17:


Lunch:  Hamburger pony shoe with fries or baked potato bar, cottage cheese, soft pretzel, steamed broccoli, diced peaches, ½ pint of milk

Friday, February 18:


Lunch:  Cheeseburger macaroni or Lasagna cheese roll with meat sauce, whole wheat breadstick, lettuce salad, fresh fruit, ½ pint of milk


Scholastic Bowl practice: Varsity Only -- 3:30-4:30.


A Taco Dinner will be served February 18 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. during the boy's basketball game.  While you cheer for our seniors, come support the SAVE Club.

Saturday, February 19:


WIU Jazz Festival – WHS Bus and van load at 7:30 AM and leave by 7:45 AM.  Don’t forget tux outfilts and lunch money.


Scholastic Bowl at Masonic Sectionals

Sports Booster Dinner/Dance at the AC Club - 7:00PM


Masonic Sectionals at Petersburg-PORTA. Bus will leave at 7:15. Team t-shirts must be worn. First match will start at 8:45 a.m.

Juniors, check to see if you owe class dues. The list is posted in the Junior hall. Dues are $25. Beginning March 1st they will increase to $30. Please give your dues to Mrs. Strack.


Ameren Illinois will award one, annually renewable, $2,500 scholarship every year to a minority graduating, high school senior accepted to an accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university. All recipients must earn a minimum cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) of 2.667 on a 4.0 scale. The student must major in engineering discipline. Applications are available in the guidance office.


2011 Notice of Apprenticeship Opportunity - IL Laborers' & Contractors Joint Apprenticeship & Training Program will be accepting applications at the Laborer Local Union Halls on the 1st Tuesday of each Month during designated hours. Qualifications include; high school graduate or GED and at least 18 years old. Interested individuals should visit www.illaborers.org
